Problema driver ati catalyst 8.5!!

Penso di aver risolto il problema.
per puro caso ieri sera mi sono accorto che nel cavo DVI/DVI mancava un piedino (quello insolato più grande)
Collegato il tutto in VGA, .... funziona (non appare ancora la funzione under/oversan ma per magia sono apparse molte altre funzioni nel CCC. Probabile che in VGA la funzione under/overscan non ci sia).
Compro un nuovo cavo DVI, e se è tutto OK parto subito con le scuse ....

Usciti gli 8.6, diversi aggiustamenti per l'HDMI e risolto il bug che vedeva sparire in alcuni casi la funzione di scaling in Vista.

ho installato la 8.6 però ci sono dei problemi. il codec cyberlink h.264/avc1 (PDVD8) quando entra in modo dxva fa crashare Vista con un blue screen of death o nei casi pià furtunati fa resettare la scheda video che continua a funzionare ma male. stessi file di controllo sia x264 che rip rai HD (che con la 8.5 funzionavano bene con Cyberlink) con mpc-video decoder e arcsoft entrambi in modo dxva non hanno problemi e continuano a funzionare correttamente. Cyberlink per mpg2 modo dxva funziona correttamente. mi sa che chi ha Powerdvd 8 e usa i blueray non dovrebbe installare i catalyst nuovi . almeno sotto Vista . in xp non saprei. questo problema è già stato segnalato su avsforum da un utente prima di me quindi non credo sia un caso isolato. stasera comunque disinstallo i catalyst e pulisco i registri e faccio una installazione pulita da zero per capire. in genere però io faccio sempre cosi. ho file di controllo che mi tengo e ad ogni catalyst nuovo ricontrollo e non mi era mai successo prima un tale crash.

Installando il pacchetto da 35,9 MB vengono tutti questi software?
Lo chiedo perchè a me durante l'intallazione propone solamente:
1) driver (non deselezionabile, chiaramente)
2) CCC
3) programmino per la registrazione del prodotto.

Confermo che i catalyst 8.6 hanno problemi anche su XP, Powerdvd 8 solo audio e niente video con una HD 3650, come gia' sperimentato da altri su AVSforum, torniamo ai vecchi

Io ho avuto problemi di lip-synch in Vista con PowerDVD8 + BRD + DTS Encoding attivato (per intenderci per uscire in DTS da sorgenti DD TrueHD).
Sono tornato ad XP-SP2 con una verisone precedente di CCC è tutto è tornato a posto.
Magari può servire a qualcuno...

hanno problemi più che altro i Cyberlink perchè con Arcsoft e mpc video decoder non ci sono questi problemi.

Che intendi per i Cyberlink? Un bug di PowerDVD?
Comunque, mi ha incuriosito l'apertura del 3d, perché qualcuno lamentava un'accelerazione della riproduzione con i nuovi CCC. Ora, nella mia catena, i CCC ultimo grido generano questo problema di fuori synch, anche se in un caso molto particolare (lo ricordo: traccia DDTrueHD, encoding DTS on the fly, attendere almeno 20 minuti).
Se qualcuno ha voglia di provare... di più non so.
