It has a full color display on the front, which can be used for the OSD menu navigation. Beside this screen there are just a few buttons for operation on the unit itself. It will come with a new programmable remote RR-1050 with LCD screen.

According to Mike Bartlett, Generel Manager Rotel Amerika: "The RSP-1098 is Rotel`s most sophisticated product to date, so we worked harder than ever to `keep it simple` on the outside. But beyond its astonishingly elegant look and unique ergonomic achievements, the 1098 is pure Rotel, with the fully integrated performance and full-system excellence our `Balanced Design` concept delivers."

The 1098 has the latest 32 bit Cirrus Logic chips with 24/192kHz D/A conversion on all channels. Ofcourse the known surrounds modes are offered. The message doesn't say anything about DTS24/96 though.
It has dual toroidal transformers with hugh power reserves. All circuits are seperated from each other for minimal interference.
It has flexibel crossover settings, 8 analogue inputs, 8 digital inputs and 5 AV inputs. It has 4 wideband component inputs.

Estimated price is $3000 dollars and it will come available march 2003 in both black and silver with black.

Salve ragazzi, vedo che state facendo un bel gruppetto, be allora se posso mi aggrego anchio, sarei interessato al 1066, per il momento, ma non potrei escludere il 1098, se si potesse sapere il prezzo preciso che riuscireste a farvi fare.
Poi volevo sapere se il 1066, riesce a codificare anche il 6.1 es, o il 96/24.

Ma la cosa piu' importante sia la conferma del prezzo a 3000$. Peccato solo si parli di "late spring availability"...

Leggete qui cosa metterà in commercio rotel...chiaramente funzionerà sia col 1066 che col 1098:

Qui c'è qualche info sul 1098: è in olandese, ma si capisce abbastanza.
Anche qui come prezzo indicativo da 2999$, quindi siamo allineati.

Di interessante dice che monta convertitori DA Crystal 192/24 su TUTTI e 8 i canali!!!

Giovanni,
il prezzo di listino del 1066 è come dici tu, cioè 1699 "euri", ma noi speriamo di ottenere uno sconto significativo. Ma vogliamo fare un acquisto in gruppo, e più siamo meglio è. Al momento inoltre il 1066 non è disponibile, e mi hanno detto che ci vorranno ancora un 3-4 settimane prima di averlo (immagino il problema sia legato ai bachi sw e hw di cui si è tanto parlato). In ogni caso noi aspetteremmo la disponibilità del 1098 per ordinare il tutto, quindi se ne parla ad Aprile.
In effetti però, quelli che vogliono il 1066 subito potrebbero anticipare, non credo ci siano troppi problemi. Potremmo in effetti fare comunque un ordine unico, con i 1098 (ed i restanti 1066) pending finchè non arrivano.

De verwachte Amerikaanse adviesprijs is 3000 dollar. De Nederlandse prijs komt daarmee waarschijnlijk op 3500 euro.

è in olandese, ma mi pare chiaro...
