Seconda sessione di prova (prima di abbandonarlo per 1 settimana):

DVD - Dolby digital: (Gladiatore e corsa degli sgusci)
Qui ci siamo eccome: la dinamica e prorompente ma quello che salta all'occhio è il dettaglio e la purezza dei transienti (esempiio le freccie nella prima battaglia del gladiatore)... il suono è sempre forte e preciso e non si sente mai un decadimento neppure a regimi vermanete elevati... ieri sono arrivato a -10 della scala e tutto OK (i vicini non hanno detto nulla)

BR - PCM e DolbyHD - sorgente PS3
Per quanto riguarda il PCM siamo su un altro pianeta (BHD e casinò) cambiano completamente ascoltati in codifica estesa... la gamma è ancora più profonda e corposa
Passando al DolbyHD invece c'è qualcosa che non torna: ho usato il disco test della dolby regalato da AvMagazine e incredibile cambiando il settaggio della play da Bitstrea a PCM per ascoltare il nuovo formato succede il CONTRARIO di quello che dovrebbe essere :
Quando setto Bitstream (la PS3 fa vedere che viene estratto solo il DD normale a 600K) ma il suono è molto più forte, i bassi potenti. Se metto (come dovrebbe essere) PCm sulla PS3 (che infatti mi indica 3-4M di audio e l'Onkyo mULTICHANNEL) il suono si siede in maniera decisa, sia a livello globale che sui bassi perdendo di profondità.... esattamente il contrario di quello che è... magari un bug della PS3 che setta il contrario di quello indicato?
Oppure ci sono dei settaggi particolari sull'entrata Multichannel... ma io non li ho trovati...

un amico del forum che purtroppo non può intervenire personalmente possessore del tx nr 905 che saluto affettuosamente
mi ha girato questa notizia "allarmante" riguarda il Bitstream DTS Master Audio, che una volta inviato al ricevitore (Onkyo, Integra, Yamaha) con alcuni dischi puo' succedere che improvvisamente arrivi un forte rumore tale da danneggiare i diffusori.

DSP Firmware Update of TX SR 605, 705, 805, 875 and TX NR 905
Bugfix: Pop-noise with some HD-DTS material
To carry out the update you will need the software supplied by ONKYO, a PC with the possibility to burn
a an Audio-CD, a CD player with optical output, an optical cable and your Receiver!
Note: Warning! During the writing process, DO NOT turn off the power or disconnect
the optical cable. If the writing process is only partially completed, the Receiver’s
Flash IC may need to be replaced. Some CD/DVD players are not suitable for this update.
ONKYO advise that if the writing process does not work, please try a different player.
1. Unzip the file, burn it as Audio-CD and finalize it.
File CD_SR6050_08214A.wav is used for TX SR 605 only!
File CD_SR805 123_08214A_07518A_07820B.wav is used for all other models of x05 series.
Please put the CD into the CD player and connect the player to Optical Input 1 of the receiver.
2. Switch on the receiver. Wait for 10 seconds. Then press and hold the “DISPLAY” button and while
holding it press the “STANDBY/ON” button. This will show in the display the main firmware versions
within the unit.
TX SR 605:
Within 3 seconds, press the Tone “ +“ button twice. Now display is showing the DSP firmware
version, press the “CD” button on the Receiver, then press Play on the CD Player. The Receiver’s
display will now say “S/PDIF Update…” for about 15 seconds then “Writing…” for about 30 seconds.
When the writing process has finished the display will say “Complete!”, then “Clear”, then the
Receiver will go to Standby mode. It is possible, that the unit will not switch OFF automatically, in
this case wait for another 10 minutes before switching OFF manually.
TX SR 705 – SR 875 and TX NR 905:
Within 3 seconds, press the Tone “ +“ button. Now the display showing the DSP 1 st firmware version,
press the “Return” button on the Receiver, then press Play on the CD Player. The Receiver’s display
will now say “S/PDIF Update…” for about 15 seconds then “Writing 1 st DSP…” for about 15 seconds,
than again S/DIF Update. Now you see “Writing 2 st DSP…” than again S/DIF Update before it
changes to “Writing 3 st DSP…” When the writing process has finished the display will say
“Complete!”, then “Clear”, then the Receiver will go to Standby mode. It is possible, that the unit will
not switch OFF automatically, in this case wait for another 10 minutes before switching OFF manually.
3. Now the update is complete! You can check that it has been successful if you read out the FW
version:
Switch on the receiver. Wait for 10 seconds. Then press and hold the “DISPLAY” button and while
holding it press the “STANDBY/ON” button. The display will show now the Firmware version's.
This will disappear from the display after a few seconds and the Receiver will return to its normal
mode.
If you experience any difficulties carrying out this update please contact ONYKO or your local authorised
Service station. Please note that ONKYO does not accept any responsibility for any damage or problems
caused by attempting or doing this update.

dopo le notizie di avs-forum e della onkyo
una mia personalissima opinione, se è vero quello che stanno riportando su avs-forum, visto che c'è anche una nota onkyo (sempre da accertare con sicurezza)
da quando sono usciti questi nuovi sinto, onkyo non ci ha mai fatto respirare un po tranquillamente una volta un problemino piccolo una volta un problemino grande ma c'è sempre stato qualcosina
processore video - lipslinc - problemi per gli aggiornamenti........
penso che onkyo, (è vero che non poteva prevedere questi "problemi" ed ora incominciano a diventare molti) ma un pò più di assistenza e un po più di accuratezza poteva darcela/metterla per i suoi clienti e per i suoi prodotti qui da noi neanche rispondono alle e-mail, personalmente sono un po demoralizzato un pò per tutto senza fare nessun allarmismo o criticare qualcosa o qualcuno solo una mia considerazione tante volte si risentisse qualcuno.

spero di non avervi stranito era solo una mia personale in particolare perchè anche questa volta c'è di mezzo il tx nr 905 mio "pupillo" e anche perchè sono sempre stato un acquirente di questo marchio.

Il problema non è fare qualche aggiornamento firmware.
Ditemi quale prodotto nasce con un firmware "definitivo"?
Ditemi quale sintoampli non ha avuto qualche peccato di gioventù?
Oppure quale prodotto vi riesce a soddisfare sotto tutti (ma tutti) i punti di vista: estetico, qualitativo, prestazionale, costruttivo, funzionale?
Il problema, soprattutto per noi italiani, è che abbiamo un importatore che è veramente incapace di gestire anche le cose più stupide, figuriamoci risponderti ad una e-mail per consigli tecnici...
Quando al posto di Tecnofuturo avevamo Eurosound le cose andavano molto, molto meglio.
Mi ripeto: lavoro in un negozio che acquista da Tecnofuturo, e con questi bisogna avere gli occhi anche dietro e avere sempre e solo pazienza.
Anche quando gli fai notare certe cose per le quali dovrebbero solo ringrazianti per migliorare il loro servizio (vedi i corrieri che usano), questi se ne fregano altamente!!!
Senza contare tutte le cretinate che ho visto fare da loro, e che non vi illustro per non annoiarvi.
Il 905 è e rimane un gran amplificatore con tutti i suoi (tanti, ma veramente tanti) pregi e con pochi (ma veramente pochi) "sfumature" negative.
Non ho parlato di difetti ma sfumature perchè nella mia carriera di venditore i difetti sono ben altri e soprattutto tipici e costanti in altri manchi (esempio Samsung).

Si puo passare dirrettamente dall' 1.03 o 1.05 all'1.08 direttamente o bisogna installare anche tutti i firmware intermedi?

prima di fare l'aggiornamento bisogna avere installato almeno la 1.05
