Questa è una recensione di "Abbey road" da un noto sito di acquisti inglese:

"I'm a big fan of the music and the likes of the Beatles will never be seen or heard again. This is a review of the sound quality of the new remaster, and I know this album very very well as it has been my favourite album of the group for the last thirty years.

I have had the 2009 remastered version of "Abbey Road" for some time now and I was interested how it compared sound quality wise to previous issues. Many reviews praise the new CD and a few disagree. The following is my personal account.

System used consists of Marantz CD94, Audiolab pre and mono blocks, plus LS35a's with matching subs. Also used were Sennheiser HD650's with a MF X cans V2 headphone amp.

Through the system I first played the original 1987 UK issue CD, the sound was natural and had a warm tonal quality. Next turn was the 2009 remaster, and my first thought's were this is louder than the previous CD and that the remastering process has enhanced the bass. Overall the sound seems compressed and I was left feeling gutted that despite all the hype, Apple have manged to make a worse sounding CD. "Come together" has a couple of deep bass notes which on the remaster were a painfull experience. "Sunking" is overwhelmed by bass at the sacrifice of mid and top end detail. Finally I have a copy manufactured by Toshiba from Japan. This japanese version is by far the best and just edges the original 87 version in terms of detail and LP like sound. I repeated the test through the headphones and reached the same conclusion.

To sum up I will not be buying any further albums from the 2009 release and will stick with my old 1980's CD's"

Io non avendo alcuna incisione dei Beatles mi sono fatto tentare ed ho preso le prime due uscite. In negozio ho visto che ci sono delle versioni simili. Saranno la stessa edizione?

Allora, in termini di segnalazioni c'è anche un libretto, copertina rigida. Bellissime foto. e parla dei Beatles, la storia, il successo, il mito, gli anni 60.
Molto ben fatto.

Si, sono le stesse edizioni che trovi nei negozi.
fanno parte, tutte insieme dell'intera discografia che, ad esempio, la si può acquistare su amzon.
...
io ho HELP di parecchi anni fa, versione CD.
proverò a fare un DR per curiosità rispetto alla versione ultima, per vedere se sono effettivamente migliori.

Maledetta loudness war , temo che una edizione audiofila con livelli di dinamica non alterati sarà in futuro emessa in formato liquido ad alta risoluzione... anche se in questo ed in altri casi un corretto sfruttamento della risoluzione del CD sarebbe stato ben più che sufficiente a realizzare una edizione definitiva.

Maledetta in senso concreta, se continuano così, in futuro avremo solo musica inascoltabile....e ancora non ho capito cusa l'è sto formato liquido....
