All six major Hollywood studios are now in the Blu-ray Disc camp, a day after Toshiba has pulled the plug on HD DVD and Blu-ray became effectively the only next-gen game in town.

Paramount Home Entertainment quietly came onboard via a statement sent exclusively to The Hollywood Reporter on Wednesday: "We are pleased that the industry is moving to a single high-definition format, as we believe it is in the best interest of the consumer," the statement reads. "As we look to (begin) releasing our titles on Blu-ray, we will monitor consumer adoption and determine our release plans accordingly."

Mi sa che ci vorrà un po'....dovranno creare linee di produzione ex novo e non credo che basti una mezza giornata....

In realtà Paramount ha già prodotto BD. Forse per più tempo che HD DVD. Considera che, anche se sembrano anni, l'esclusiva per HD DVD era solo dell'agosto scorso.

Ho in BD Paramount The Warriors e soprattutto per il versante video è un ottimo prodotto che mi lascia ben sperare per il futuro...

Chissà tutti i BD stampati bloccati nei magazzini e che ora, finalmente potranno essere distribuiti.

Infatti, hanno molti BD già stampati da agosto che furono fermati in distribuzione all'ultimo minuto, addirittura alcune copie finirono lo stesso sul mercato. Quelle potrebbero distribuirle già da oggi
