The faint texture that appears overtop the before and after shots is inherent to the press booklet
photographs, not the film's restoration or the Blu-ray's subsequent video presentation.

Proprio perchè è impossibile sapere cosa farebbe oggi il regista sarebbe stato sufficiente mantenere l'originale formato di proiezione...

Iniziano a trapelare informazioni su Titanic da thedigitalbits.com:

Paramount, 20th Century Fox and director James Cameron are preparing a 4K-scanned, 3D theatrical release of Titanic, set to hit theatres next year on 4/6/2012, not coincidentally on the 100th anniversary of the actual Titanic's maiden voyage. So that's interesting, but it's not Rumor Mill-worthy - it's actually been officially announced by the studios. (Here's more on it from Deadline Hollywood.) MORE interesting from our standpoint, however, is that multiple industry sources have now checked in with us to say that a Blu-ray release of the film (2D for sure and maybe 3D too) will happen a week or two later. And that IS Rumor Mill-worthy, so salt accordingly. By this time next year, a Titanic Blu-ray may already be in your hands.

per farla breve: stanno lavorando su un 4k per rimandarlo al cinema in 3d il 06/04/2012 e l'uscita su bluray in 2d e verosimilmente in 3d, dovrebbe essere una o due settimane dopo!

Aggiungo l'interessante intervista a Spielberg pubblicata da aintitcool.com da dove si legge che Lo Squalo è in lavorazione (secondo thedigitalbits però uscirà nel 2012) e che ,secondo le sue testuali parole,:

Steven Spielberg: (In the future) there’s going to be no more digital enhancements or digital additions to anything based on any film I direct. I’m not going to do any corrections digitally to even wires that show.

If 1941 comes on Blu-Ray I’m not going to go back and take the wires out because the Blu-Ray will bring the wires out that are guiding the airplane down Hollywood Blvd. At this point right now I think letting movies exist in the era, with all the flaws and all of the flourishes, is a wonderful way to mark time and mark history.
