Unlike PersianImmortal I was not in any way asked to withhold information so I am going to share what he said to me.

There is an update that is being sent to the service technicians around the world which is designed to reduce the green tints, but he said that it was not going to entirely solve it. He said it was related to the drive board circuit, and that there was not much that could be done to this. The patch is considered bringing it down to acceptable levels and from the sound of it, this is exactly the patch SCT242 was given. My service shop was also apparently sent this update, but for some reason failed to locate it. Will have to check back with them on this.

The Panasonic technician also forwarded the pictures taken of my TV set to the production line in the Czech Republic and was hoping that maybe they would be able to find out what this is. So all I can do now is to wait until I get my TV back with the installed update and see if it is indeed acceptable. In the opposite case, there's not much else that can be done and the technician I spoke to sounded sincere when he apologized for this and even if this does not end well I finally met someone at Panasonic which took me seriously and acknowledged the issue.

The technician also told me that he had installed this on people's sets who had been complaining which also got satisfied with the update, so there IS a slight hope after all. I've also arranged for a level 2 certified ISF calibrator to have a look at the tv if I bring it to him, so I should also be able to document exactly how much off the values are, but I need to borrow a large enough car to ship it there."

quindi pare che probabilmente arriverà un nuovo firmware che qualcosina per i tv con lievi problemi dovrebbe migliorare... gli altri... "si attaccano"...

Ragazzi, solo una mia curiosità:
Potrebbe essere che questi aloni verdi spariscano nel tempo man mano che col passare dei giorni i fosfori del plasma diventano più "agili" e reattivi, un po' come avviene per la ritenzione d'immagine?
Voglio dire...magari è solo un problema momentaneo di gioventù, dovuto al fatto che il pannello ha lavorato poco....

E siamo alla fase delle prime ammissioni non ufficiali, finalmente abbiamo un indiziato cioè il "drive board circuit" (non so cosa sia ma ha tutta l'aria di una scheda o parte di essa).
Si tratta quindi di un difetto hardware a cui si cerca di porre una "pezza" via software... ma sempre di pezza si tratta.
Mi auguro che il difetto venga riconosciuto da Panasonic in modo che anche chi ha avuto la "sfortuna" di beccarsi un tv difettoso e non ha avuto la prontezza di farselo cambiare con il recesso possa avare titolo per chiedere la riparazione/sostituzione in un centro Panasonic.
Non ho esperienza di come si è comportata Panasonic in passato in questi casi, voi l'avete?

Altra conferma da AVS forum che conoscono il problema e sembra più grosso del previsto.....alla faccia di quelli che dicevano che i tv fallati erano pochi !!

"Spoke to Panasonic NL today, unfortunately they had nothing new to report. Problem is out for investigation at the production plants they told. Once they have solved the problem or found another suitable solution they will get back to me. They didnt have a timeframe for me, but did state that the amount of people affected is way bigger than they in first place expected..

Patience... "

Forum come questo DEVONO esserci e tutelarci.
Grazie a voi ho €uro 2000 in più in banca che potrò spendere melio fra un pò di tempo.

Con 2000 vorresti qualcosa di meglio di un vt30?
Hai qualche idea?

Per molto meglio non intendevo TV, ci sono tante altre cose su cui poter spendere 2000 €urini.
Effettivamente sul mercato il VT30 non ha eguali, ma cmq lo voglio senza difetti.
Non ho il pepe in c_u_l_o ( da noi si dice così), acquisterò quando tutto sarà al posto giusto!

effettivamente il 920 è stato parecchio in ballottaggio, ma questa è un'altra storia...

per quel che riguarda me, in realtà non avrei voluto un GT30 e cosa prendere l'avevo ben chiaro. volevo un monitor pro panasonic, con elettronica escludibile, materiali robusti e ben assemblati, senza audio che tanto si paga ma fa pietà e, a ragion veduta, probabilmente esente da problemi di pannelli con spessori estremamente ridotti.

il problema era che a me serviva un 46", e perché avrei dovuto dubitare del fatto che fosse eccellente... invece... lo é, però a me é andata malino.

comunque: sono uno che i suoi soldi se li gode e mi sto vedendo un film a sera, anche se noto la macchia mi concentro sul film, e da buon sperimentatore il mio scopo é usarlo anche se non ci saranno fix

voglio consumarlo, che i miei 1170 abbiano un rapporto di investimento elevatissimo, ma sopratutto... panasonic considera rodato il plasma dopo "qualche anno", basta vedere la nota di servizio sui rising black di qualche post fa. altro che 500 ore... tra 5000 lo voglio vedere
