mi sembra anche importante l'ultima nota sul minore consumo degli LCD:
"...
Liquid crystal TVs are covered by the Japanese Energy Conservation Law, which means that power consumption must be slashed by 15% by fiscal 2008 from that of the leading models with the lowest power consumption in fiscal 2004. Sharp plans to convert liquid crystal TV peripheral circuitry to integrated circuits and take other steps to reduce power consumption.

Ho visto cose che voi umani non potreste immaginare. Plasma da 120" in fiamme al largo dei bastioni di Orione... e ho visto i raggi B di un PAL Optimal, balenare nel buio vicino alle porte di Tannhauser.. e tutti quei momenti andranno perduti nel tempo come lacrime nella pioggia.
