Mi sa che questi Toshiba rappresentano il terzo incomodo nel mio attuale dubbio tra samsung led b8000 e sony z5500.
Aspetterò l'IFA di Berlino prima di decidere.

Sono completamente fuori target sia come costi che come prodotto.
L'SV e' un'altra fascia rispetto a quelli indicati da te.

Piu' opportuna sarebbe l'indecisione tra SV, X5500 e B8500/9000, ma ancora si sa poco o nulla dei top-end di Samsung e Sony.

Intende dire che sono i top di gamma con led local dimming di Toshiba, Sony e Samsung, per cui un gradino sopra i Sony serie Z e tre gradini sopra come prezzo
La serie Z di Sony invece si dovrebbe confrontare di più con i top di gamma con retroilluminazione convenzionale CCFL, come lo è ad esempio il Toshiba ZV.

Mi sono letto anch'io il manuale e sono rimasto impressionato dalle innumerevoli regolazioni per le immagini,sono tutti così o questo Toshiba ne ha "troppe"?

I televisori toshiba sono sempre stati generosi per quanto riguarda le opzioni disponibile e le regolazioni.
Sono stati ad esempio fra i primi televisori LCD a permettere una regolazione di fino sui colori primari e secondari da standard menu, senza passare per il service.

Queste nuove serie sono ancora piu' complete.

Dalle varie brochure e siti ufficiali viene riportato solamente che ha la Common Interface, senza specificare il termine o simbolo Plus.

E' importante sapere se ha C.I.+, altrimenti se si vuole vedere Mediaset Premium HD (per ora solo premium calcio, ma nel 2010 forse anche premium cinema), occorrerà comprare un decoder HD.
Vabbè che pure la futura CAM C.I.+ costicchierà non poco...
A quel punto bisognerà valutare se comprare la cam, oppure un decoder HD compatibile (anche) con mediaset premium, che ti offre servizi interattivi che con la cam non hai.

Si,unica cosa che non riesco a capire è se supportano o meno le CAM C+.Per il resto credo proprio che sia un televisore di altissimo livello,secondo me(leggendo caratteristiche e manuali)se la gioca con il Philips 9704.

Quella di Cnet recensione alquanto discutibile e direi per niente tecnica !!!

Questa è una testimonianza di un utente possessore che ha provato
i parametri di calibrazione di Cnet sul suo Toshiba SV670U......
ecco perchè certe rece vanno prese con le molle, con il parco regolazioni
di tipo professionale che offrono questi nuovi Toshiba, se NON si è dei
tecnici altamente competenti è più facile fare delle frittate che delle recensioni !!!!!!!

I gave the Cnet settings a try on my 55SV670u and the picture was HORRIBLE !!!!!!!!!

Way way way too bright. Everything had blooming and was washed out. When viewing a hue/tint pattern through a blue filter you could tell the color was WAY off.

I switched back to the Kevin Miller settings and then did some minor tweaking of the brightness/contrast to suit my room. Much better...

I can tell why the Cnet review gave it some low marks for blooming. It was impossible to avoid with those settings!

I understand that different sources will give different results but this was so far off I was pretty amazed.

This review still won't sway me from getting this TV. I have seen this TV calibrated in a some what theater type atmosphere & it look great. I'm pretty sure the settings differ from the 46 & the 55.

I'm really intrigued by the CNET Settings. The Settings on the TV I saw are not the settings CNET provided which is weird. Also Kevin Miller provided some settings via Tweak TV that also look nothing like the setting CNET provided..

EX: CNET has Backlight Setting @ 54, yet Kevin Miller has it @ 20 for the 46 & 28 for the 55. which seem like the setting I also saw. This difference I believe is what was causing the bleeding & blooming that CNET saw. Not to mention some other settings.

I tried the CNET settings for the ZV650U and everything had a terrible
greenish cast, like most plasmas look to me.
Another AVS member confirmed that his set did the same thing when using the CNET settings.

Moral of the story:
Don't expect the CNET settings to result in an acceptable picture for your TV and whatever brand/model DVD/BR player you're using.
