E' uguale al mio ! Collegato 575p al 963, in s-viseo alla PS2 e in component 576i al mio nuovo ricevitore sat Samsung.
Mi sa che è propio un difetto dello Z2 .
Come ho chiesto in un'altro 3d, chi lo ha risolto con i settaggi?

ho provato, tramite il menu service, il registro 14...
avevo letto di uno che ha risolto il VB con questo parametro, beato lui, perchè a me non ha dato esito.

One other point to note, on my Z2, as soon as I started using progressive signals through component (Denon 2900) my VB more or less vanished. It's now basically an non issue at a viewing distance of 1,5 of screen with. With interlaced signals, it was much more noticeable, but never as bad as the pictures posted on this thread with VB.

Well, I started this thread and I must say I sent my projector to Sanyo to get "fixed" for vertical banding (VB) and it returned with them saying they "adjusted ICC data".... bottom line, no real difference. VB still present every 12 pixels. I am sure this is part and parcel of this projector, whether folks see it
or not. It's relatively subtle but definitely there! It's not terribly noticeable from 1.5-2.0 x screen width unless you are looking for it, but is there.
Since I have no real choice, and am convinced now that it's not really fixable, I guess I will live with it. When you don't notice the VB, the picture is quite nice (although you really need to decrease red, increase gamma and change color temp to at least mid or high. ) It's a shame, because this would be an extraordinary projector if it were not for this really blatant and unfortunate flaw. If you haven't bought yet, I would wait for the next generation.....

Just went through the whole thread.
Reason is--> I just received my brand new Pana AE-500 and man does it have a vertical banding problem!
I use to watch movies on my good ol' Pana AE-100 which had almost no vertical banding compared to this one.
I am even thinking about sending it back to Panasonic.
I do understand that this is a problem inherent to LCD-projectors, but this is just too much.
If you want to see FPN raise its ugliest head, just watch the beginnnig of The Two Towers where Sam and Frodo go through the mist.
I can't watch it anymore.
I'll put up some high-res pics of this problem in the next few days as you have to see this to believe it.
Anyway are there any other pana ae-500 owner with this very problem out there...

Scusate se mi permetto, ma non credo che i problemi siano solo della matrice!
Dico questo perchè, da possessore di Z2, ammetto la spiccata presenza del Vertical banding quando abilito la modalità progressiva dal VP.
Ma lo stesso "fenomeno" SCOMPARE TOTALMENTE (non voglio "urlare" ma solo mettere in evidenza) quando abilito il Progressive Scan PAL dal mio Harman Kardon DV25.
Quando dico scompare significa che ho visionato gà circa 100 titoli (film) di vario genere senza mai notare - neanche volendo - l'effetto del VB.
L'unica cosa che invece noto che spero sia legata al Mediamatics usato dalla harman è una non troppo spiccata presenza di Banding orizzontale solo in sequenze "movimentate" e "ricche".
Ho anche smanettato alla grande nel Service Menù (che si era resettato,.... ecc...).
Trovo, ed è solo un'opinione personale, che i parametri di funzionamento impostati dalla casa siano imprecisi e non ottimali.
Non spero in un aggiornamento firmware, ma se dovesse aumentare il "valore" dell'immaggine, ben venga.

I miei 5cents...
Ho notato un pelino pelino di Vertical banding solo in una scena dotata di sfondo parecchio sensibile al VB (omogeneo e arancio)... poi nulla più. Samsung 935 collegato in DVI quindi con faroudja, ma provato anche con tutte le altre connessioni possibili. Mai toccati per ora i factory settings del vpr.

Vi vedo molto preoccupati ma, da quello che ho visto io, mai nessuna traccia di vertical banding notabile o che dia fastidio...

Che sia dipendente da vpr a vpr per qualche motivo, o del tutto legato alle sorgenti? Sul forum AVS ho notato questa cosa quando si parlava del Panny 500, qualcuno era inca..ato a morte per il vb, qualcuno non l'aveva mai visto... sarò stato fortunato?

Vediamo gli altri papà dello Z2 se notano il VB...

Personalmente sono convinto che dipenda tutto dalle sorgenti (magari dai cavi di connessione) e dalla gestione "software" del VP. (Il Firmware o i settaggi della Casa).
Sull'ultimo numero di AF è recensito lo Z2.
Trà le "note", pultroppo, si fà riferimento al Service menù,........, leggete l'articolo e capirete da Voi.
In ogni caso, il prossimo lettore sarà equipaggiato con Faroudja.

Ciao a tutti (è il mio primo post). Io uso un "vecchio" Sony XGA, collegato in component, e il VB è evidente soprattutto nelle scene chiare (tipo cielo azzurro). Uso spesso altri proiettori LCD per lavoro, con collegamento VGA, e in diverse occasioni mi sono accorto del fenomeno. Immagino sia un difetto della tecnologia LCD, che con alcuni VPL si vede di più, con altri meno.
