Fra poco uscirà il primo sub costruito interamente da TCSOUND.

"Even though TCSounds won’t introduce subwoofers to the consumer market till early next year, we’ve had a long legacy of delighting music and home theater customers – going back over 20 years in fact.

Actually, some of the biggest and oldest brands in the home audio have used woofers built by TCSounds. You rarely will hear about our name used but when you make the best it’s not necessary to shout about it.

But for an equally long time, people did naturally ask “why not make the whole smash?” That is, why make only drivers? In part such specialization allows you to indeed become among the world’s woofer technology leaders. Making high end bass drivers in our case, whether it be for the most expensive music subwoofer ever built, or the smallest, or the best known (or all of the above, as we have done at various times).

But no surprises, word gets around over the years, and eventually your company finds itself working with top-grade cabinet makers, others specializing in state of the art amplifiers, metal and plastics. In short, you finally branch out and embark on a second act if you will. So early 2013 enthusiasts will no doubt be eager to size up the first “turnkey” subwoofer from one of the most storied brands in woofer history.

It’s bound to be interesting. After all, we created our first full models specifically to compete with the best on the market. Thankfully it’s an arena we know very well indeed. And we’re just getting warmed up."

Anche in ambito HT...infatti scomed se non sbaglio ne ha uno o due così....

il black reign di Fabio è il doppio 21" a coni contrapposti di derivazione PRO e ne ha 2 di black reign per un totale di 4 21"!

poi in mezzo alle 2 bestie, ha il piccolo (si fa per dire!) 18" LMS5400 ultra!

....dalla foto non capisco però se è un 12" attivo + 2 passivi da 12" o da 15" e non si capisce se c'è una versione con il 12" e una con il 15".

.....bisognerebbe capire poi se ci sarà un importatore in Italia, certamente però il prezzo intorno ai 3k€ non mi pare molto competitivo se fatto con il 12" e se continueranno a vendere i driver singoli che ognuno può usare per construirselo il SUB.
Inoltre non si capisce bene se ha incorporato un equalizzatore o meno.

Luca è una tua supposizione il prezzo o lo hai trovato da qualche parte?

Ad ogni modo la notizia è molto interessante e attenderò con ansia l'ufficilità dell'uscità, con magari qualche recensione e misura con lo standard CEA-2010.

Prezzo è quello supposto in una discussione di un altro forum, addirittura certi parlavano di 4000 dollari....ma cmq se vuole fare concorrenza a pb13 ultra....e altri marchi americani come Submersive, Rhytmik non dovrebbe costare più di 2000-2500 dollari....

Vedremo, cmq meglio se arriva un nuovo produttore

Dico se uno volesse esagerare....il quad empire come rapporto Q/P non ha rivali. Ottimo basso, leggermente poca discesa, ma con 4 penso che risolvi pure quello, e una botta/punch da infarto

Michele, se ti ricordi è identico al quel progetto che ti feci qualche tempo fa proprio con lo stesso driver, un attivo e due passivi per scendere abbastanza in frequenza, è un buon progetto che scende parecchio e che tutto sommato ha dimensioni contenute, per avere le stesse prestazioni con un progetto reflex a singolo driver avrebbero dovuto fare un cabinet con volume doppio.
Le prestazioni globali dipenderanno molto dalla bontà dell'ampli.
Probabilmente non hanno pensato ad un progetto simile basato sul 5400 perchè sarebbe diventato troppo costoso, progetto per altro fatto da Ilkka 5 o 6 anni fa......

In ogni caso,essendo un sospensione pneumatica,non avrà mai la pressione sonora di un Pb 13 alle subsoniche..

Non è assolutamente un cassa chiusa, il progetto con i woofer passivi è praticamente un reflex dove appunto il condotto del reflex è sostituito dai passivi, si utilizza questo caricamento per ridurre le dimensioni del box pur mantenendo una Fb molto bassa e delle buone prestazioni sulle bassissime, nel caso specifico del progetto TCSounds è ipotizzabile una Fb intorno ai 20hz vista la fs del driver attivo di 25hz, di solito però i progetti coi passivi pagano rispetto ai reflex delle distorsioni più alte.
Non so come si comporterà nei confronti del pb13, ma sulla carta promette sicuramente bene......
