da quello che scrivono pare abbiano risolto parecchi problemini, speriamo bene ...

Dear Friends
as we discussed earlier we are happy to announce you a new version 3.5 revision for your xtreamer prodigy.
This is going to be the last release candidate for version 3.5 as we already have a list of many new function and surprises waiting to be implemented in version 4 and version 5.
Please note : In this version Hebrew GUI is broken. We will fix this in next release in a matter of 1 day or so .

Version 3.5 RC8 Release Notes - Prodigy
====================================
(1) We fixed the MAC Address issue. Some of you tried earlier betas and lost the device MAC address. Now it will be back again .
(2) Many of you asked us to fix and improve the Lips Sync in subtitles. We hope we managed to do as you asked. In this version you will find a fix for this.
(3) Some of you reported us the when IDX/SUB subtitles files are used the device is freezing. We managed to go to the root of the problem and in this version it is fixed.
(4) We have added an Auto-play functionality. Now you are able to let the device start with your own selected files.
(5) Audio Language that was missing in last RC is now back. The user can now prefer an audio language for his played files.
(6) We were reported numerous times that the Timezone is wrongly displayed. We hope this time you can confirm our lab testings that this issue is solved.
(7) We improved the GUI and made it version 4 ready.
(8) We have tried again to fix the arabic language. In this version arabic subtitle LTR new option was added.
(9) French, Finnish, Korean new string table was modified and improved
(10) Some of you reported us that when trying to USB disc copy file to external HDD it cause rebooting and fail with hundreds MB file. We fixed that as well.
(11) We removed the Bittorent from system services. We dont need it anymore once Transmission is doing just the same job and even better.

How to Upgrade :
====================================
Do not upgrade from SETTINGS - you need to run the emergency firmware procedure as specified below!!!
To install just download and copy install.img to the root of a USB stick.
* Go to your Prodigy, turn it off by unplugging the power cord for few sec.
* Put the cord back but do not power the machine on.
* Plug the USB stick to a USB port at the back panel.
* When the machine is OFF press the power button for about 10 sec (you will see that the blue LED light is turning on but still keep your finger pressed on the power button until the power LED is turned off).
* When the LED is off you can release your finger and let it start flash the firmware. Do not power off the machine while the update process is taking place.
BE PATIENT IT WILL TAKE LONGER TIME THAN NORMAL IN THIS UPDATE.
If you do you will brick your device and we will not honor it as RMA. If you are not sure what you are doing just dont do it.

Salve a tutti 
Per aumentare la velocita' di trasmissioni dati tra il pc e lo xtreamer, e avendo la necessita' di collegare anche la ps3, ho acquistato uno switch Sitecom gigabit.
Ma ho notato che la trasmissione e' lentissima. da cosa puo' dipendere?

Si, i canali del digitale terrestre li devi scanzionare e salvare manualmente, niente procedura automatica !
Causa il reset dell'apparecchio.

Quando (e se, a questo punto) risolveranno il problema, gliene prenderò 2!
Ma adesso sarebbero da prendere a calci nel sedere...

In questi giorni, da quando siamo passati definitivamente al digitale terrestre e Mediaset ha cambiato le frequenze di alcuni canali, l'EXTREAMER si incasina, si blocca sul digitale, non trova i canali ecc.
Quindi siamo ancora in alto mare, è possibile che non esista un apparecchio che oltre a fare il lettore di Files, registri dal digitale terrestre senza problemi !!!!!

...monta lo stesso chipset del Xtreamer, ma ha un software decisamente piu stabile.

Tu hai acquistato quello ?
Ha altri tipi di problemi, oppure con gli ultimi aggiornamenti firmware si è stabilizzato ed ora è un apparecchio decente ?
Ho letto un po sul forum di quell'apparecchio, purtroppo io ho un HD WD Caviar Green da 3 tb. pensi che sia un problema?

Ultimamente l'ho testato per un paio di settimane con il firmware piu recente...e per quanto riguarda il digitale terrestre (comprese le registrazioni) funziona molto bene.
Rispetto all'Xtreamer non ha il juke-box per cui la funzione locandine è decisamente spartana, però sotto il profilo della riproduzione file si comporta decisamente bene.
Ufficialmente l'unico modello di hard disk da 3TB supportato è questo:
WD WD30EZRX da 3tb

ho installato io ieri la versione 3,5 rc10 scaricandola da li devo ancora vedere cosa c'è di nuovo, comunque io ho provato ancora anche adesso e a me la pagina sopra scritta la apre senza problemi

Ho risolto, scaricato ed istallato.
Non Mi sembra che cambi molto, perlomeno quello che interessa a Me.
Il digitale terrestre continua ad andare da schifo, la sintonizzazione automatica crasha come al solito .....
Niente di nuovo sotto il sole !
