Toshiba HD-E1 arrivato! - Official Topic -

Salve a tutti.
Nella descrizione del lettore si trova che è compatibile con DVD-R e DVD-RW.
Qualcuno mi sa dire se il lettore è compatibile con i DVD+R e DVD+RW?
Vista l'offerta MW, chi ce l'ha e lo ha provato me lo consiglierebbe?

..umm per me mostrano solo le cose ke sono cambiate col firm nuovo..ergo non è la scheda del E1 ma del EX1..che hanno preso per comodità...la mia però è solo un'intuizione...
 
è quello che penso anch'io al 99% ... ma magari... ci vorrebbe qno che ce l'ha e che faccia la verifica sul menu, nonche' eventuale funzionalita'... non sarebbe mica un brutto regalo di natale :)
 
Gli unici aggiornamento che il 2.5 porta sull'E1 è il menu in italiano (finalmente !) e la possibilità di scegliere sull'HDMI lo spazio colore RGB.
L'E1 non può essere aggiornato a 1080p/24 anche se sarei lieto in futuro di essere smentito :D

toshiba italia mi ha segnalato la possibilità di scaricare il firmware da internet, (vedo che avevate già segnalato...) e così sono riuscito dopo oltre un mese ad aggiornare il mio amato toshiba hd-e1.

firmware 2.5 finalmente !!!!

Ciao,
neo-possessore dell'E1, non l'ho ancora testato (ahimè)... ho letto che dagli States si può fare upgrade al firmware 2.7 anche sul modello europeo del XE-1. Qualcuno sa se vale anche per il nostro "fratello minore" E1?

Il firmware si puo' scaricare a questo link http://tesc.toshiba.co.uk/Web/ModelLis.nsf/DynamicStatic/HD DVD Firmware?OpenDocument e poi scriverlo su un normale cd rom.Per la procedura di update meglio seguire alla lettera queste istruzioni(dal sito USA) Instructions (Begin Firmware Update)
Confirm that the player is connected to a display device.
Turn the display device on and select the appropriate video input on the display device to view the player. (i.e., Video 1, Video 2, HDMI etc…)
Turn the player on by pressing the "On / Standby" button" on the unit or on the remote control.
Open the player's tray by momentarily pressing the "Open / Close" button on the front of the unit.
Place the firmware update disc on the tray and close the disc drawer. The player will indicate "Loading" as the firmware update disc is initially read.
The player's front display will indicate "Ver Up" and the on-screen display will indicate "Do you want to update the version?"
If "Yes" is not already highlighted, select "Yes" by using the cursor left button on the remote control.
Press "OK" on the remote control.
If you receive a message "Error code : 2007c5c2" on the display device screen, this indicates that you are using an incorrect firmware version. You will need to download and create another firmware update disc with the correct version for your model and restart the firmware update process.
After approximately 2 minutes, the player's front display will indicate the progress of the firmware update process in steps. It will first indicate "STEP 1/5" then "STEP 2/5", "STEP 3/5", "STEP 4/5" and finally "STEP 5/5".
The player's front display will indicate "STEP 5/5" for approximately 25 minutes. During the firmware update process, the ON/STANDBY LED will flash between red and blue indicating that the firmware update process is still in progress.
The firmware update process will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. The disc tray will automatically open upon completion of the firmware update process, and the unit will shut off with the disc tray in the open position.
Once the firmware update process has been completed, remove the firmware update disc from the disc tray.
Turn the player on by pressing the "On / Standby" button on the front of the unit or on the remote control. The disc tray will automatically close.
The firmware in your player is now updated.

L'operazione ha richiesto circa 15 minuti e confermo agiunge alcune features come la scelta dello spazio RGB e il menu in italiano.

un pochino offo topic..

stavo per acquistare il lettore yamaha s1700 e poi mi è venuto il dubbio se non fosse preferibile pensare già all'hddvd.
tra i lettori più economici di tal fatta ho trovato il toshiba e1. Ma secondo voi è consigliabile abbandonare il progetto di acquistare per la stessa cifra circa lo yamaha e passare all'hddvd del toshiba (che però non legge ad esempio i sacd)? La qualità soprattutto audio non sarà inferiore? Ho un sintoampli yamaha 659. Sfrutterei egualmente l'hddvd? (oltretutto ho ancora una tv a tubo catodico) sto leggendo thread a più non posso ma sono ancora confuso..

ho scaricato il file corretto ma il mio e1 non lo carica da cd restituendomi un errore e segnalandomi che il disco inserito non è un DVD (e certo dico io visto che il firmware una immagine iso di un cd!)
Da ethernet poi non ne parliamo, sono riuscito una sola volta collegarlo per puro caso. Ora mid a sempre "cannot find out of server"
Ma che catorcio.
Devo rimanere con la 2.2 installata?

ho verificato la mia versione del firmware del mio e1 e risulta essere la 2.7, che peraltro non è presente su nessun sito europeo della Toshiba, mah!
L'aggiornamento è stato fatto tramite adsl.

Qualcuno sa, invece, quando verrà sistemato il problema di non poter riprodurre HDDVD con video girato a 50i (ovvero il comune video registarto da tutte le videocamere ad alta definizione in vendita in Italia, cioè 1080i 50i)?
 
alcuni dubbi:

-i dvd hd sono valorizzati da un tv hd ready o non vale la pena spendere per un lettore hd se non si ha un tv full-hd?

-questi aggiornamenti firmware vanno fatti solo se compro il prodotto all'estero o anche se lo compro qui in italia?

mi fate chiarezza su questi 2 punti per piacere?
