Ho trovato questo in giro:

I nuovi pannelli Pansonic 2011 dovrebbero essere molto
simili ai pannelli dei KURO, prevedono l' utilizzo di un substrato
MgO crystal, lo stesso usato nei vecchi KURO.

Il brevetto ovviamente è acquisito da Pioneer Corporation !!!

Abstract (English)
A PDP is equipped with a front glass substrate and a back
glass substrate which face each other on either side of a
discharge space, row electrode pairs formed on the front glass
substrate, a dielectric layer covering the row electrode pairs,
a protective layer covering the dielectric layer, and a partition
wall unit partitioning the discharge space into discharge cells.

The partition wall unit has an approximate grid shape. The protective
layer has a crystalline MgO layer essentially containing an MgO crystal
causing a cathode-luminescence emission having a peak within a
wavelength range of 200 nm to 300 nm upon excitation by an electron beam.

here's a few things I learned at CES from several of my contacts at Panasonic. The biggest VT30 upgrade in regard to the panel from the 2010 VT25 is with the louvert filter. This year the VT30 get the new infinite black pro2 panel with deeper blacks. So the contrast ratio is higher. The MLL is lower and the peak brightness is higher. The filter is actually darker and has an better anti-glare coating.

Other advantages this year are:

Even faster decaying phosphors, last year was the first year Panasonic pioneered the fast switching phosphors.

The firing cycle that ignites the phosphors to peak brightness is now been switched to be at the beginning of the cycle so the phosphors naturally begin to dim near the end of the firing cycle, further reducing phosphor lag for 2D/3D viewing and reducing 3D cross talk.

The gate that is between the firing cycles is longer which also helps reduce phosphor lag and 3D left/right leakage.

This year we have a new LSI chip set, which should greatly improve the video processing. ......»

Per restare in tema, a me sembra che la scorsa settimana sul sito italiano di Panasonic ci fosse la scheda del 50VT30 .....adesso ho provato a vedere ed è sparita

esatto...dal sito Panasonic hanno rimosso tutte le pagine relative alla serie VT30!!!! Chissà.....

Come detto altre volte, la potenza di calcolo conta ben poco: non parliamo di elettronica che deve avere le performance di un dvdo od un radiance, parliamo semplicemente di deinterlacing, e per quello non serve chissà quale capacità, basta programmare bene i chip.

Quindi si potrebbe sistemare sulla serie "20" con un update del firmware il problema dei 50hz ?!?!

In teoria si potrebbe (su alcuni processori video hanno aggiunto il supporto al 3D, quindi...), in pratica non solo non l'ha mai fatto nessuno, ma è anche evidente che non ci andranno di certo a mettere mano adesso, con i modelli del 2011 alle porte.
La mia sensazione, comunque, è che non venga ritenuto un vero problema (quello del deinterlacer: in genere chi non è molto esperto fatica a notarlo), questo senza nulla togliere al fatto che nei modelli di quest'anno possano aver cambiato in meglio (ma ripeto: non c'entra nulla la potenza di calcolo, quella serve per il post processing, piuttosto).

Coloro che ha visto, anche se per poco, la scheda del 50VT30 mi saprebbero dire quanto è largo?
Sullo stesso sito italiano della Panasonic, la scheda del 50GT30, dichiara 'soli' 117 cm! Questo significa che anche il modello superiore dovrebbe entrarci in questo dannato buco di 120 cm!
