Eh ma nella versione amazon.it l'italiano non ce l'hanno i primi 5(CINQUE)! EHEHEH!
A me interessa che l'audio e video siano OTTIMI e (quasi) insuperabili.. visto che li guarderò con hardware da circa due mila euro tra tutto l'impianto..Non fraintendetemi..non voglio fare lo snob! Tutt'altro! (anche perchè sono uno di quelli che ci ha speso di meno per TV e impianto audio heheeh)!
Ma perchè non vorrei ritrovarmi il video da DVD o l'audio compresso/fatto male/ecc

Fermo restando che mi pare di aver capito che sui 30 euro(quindi manco 4 euro a blu ray) di nuovo non si trova nulla e non meglio di queste due.. Quale consigliate?
Mettendo da parte l'italiano che mi interessa fino ad un certo punto, io vorrei l'audio e video perfetti ALMENO IN INGLESE e per tutti e 8 i blu ray.
Non mi interessano nè contenuti speciali, nè foto, nè making of, ecc..
Sarebbero gradite eventuali scene in più(ma questa è una sottigliezza)

There are no menus - just goes straight to video. And if you have to walk away for a while and your blu-ray player shuts off like mine does (damn you, energy efficiency!) - when you DO find the menu, it won't let you start from a scene, it will only play THAT scene and then it goes back to the menu. So you have to fast forward like a vhs. WHAT?

I really wished I hadn't spent the money, because it's a really crappy buy and the individual video cases are ugly too.

The audio stinks. The picture quality of the first few movies is NOT blu-ray quality. It's grainy and awful. I have yet to see anything past the 4th movie because I'm so disappointed.

Be warned discs state 'For Rental Purposes Only'. The video and audio quality is better on my DVD versions and the packaging looked as if someone printed the covers from a decent printer. I can't see how people are rating this 5 stars. it's probably young people who don't understand and believe their getting a great deal. Especially as it's being sold by Amazon. If it's too cheap, it's too good to be true

DON'T BUY THIS BOX SET. I bought this box set for my son who loves the movies but they have been really badly cut, presumably to fit on the discs. There are whole scenes that have been very clumsily removed - you can still get the sense of the story but it is a real shame that some great scenes are gone. Surely it's not too much to ask to expect a box set to be the complete movies - as you would see in the cinema

Is it so difficult for Amazon to publish and advertise their products in a decent, organised fashion? Why on EARTH are the Blu-ray reviews mixed in with the DVD reviews- its confusing! I just received my box set an hour ago and am sorely dissappointed . I don't have a Blu-ray player thus purchased a DVD version of the box set having read good reviews on the packaging and the extras etc. Unfortunately I did not realise these features are NOT available with the DVD version because Amazon decided to put all the reviews in one place- it is HIGHLY MISLEADING!

The DVD box set description in honest words: The case is very flimsy and will easily break. Inside there are 4 DVD cases with two films per case. What I've seen so far of it, they seem to be of a good standard with English subtitles etc. There are no extra booklets or anything of the sort.

I understand that Amazon's price was very agreeable at £25, but my MAIN issue is why is it so difficult for them to clarify their items properly? And NOT place the reviews of different versions of the box set under the DVD subtitle?!

Am seriously annoyed, hope no one else makes the same mistake as me!

Forse si è fatta un po' di confusione , teoricamente nella versione italiana , l audio c e in italiano per tutti e otto i film ! In quella inglese l italiano dovrebbe essere presente sino al 6 mentre il 7 e l 8 solo inglese .
Per quanto riguarda il video i primi film non sono proprio il massimo della vita gli ultimi invece a mio avviso meritano parecchio !
L audio in italiano se non erro e un classico dolby come da tradizione warner per la nostra lingua , mentre in inglese per tutti i film l audio e in hd !!

Allora io riporto quello che leggo (ricordo che non ce l'ho ma lo vorrei comprare e sto cercando di capire se vale la pena o no)
La discussione serve anche a fare ordine sulle info delle varie edizioni, visto che su amazon tra i pasticci che fa con i commenti e le varie versioni dvd/blu ray ed in più gli utenti che scrivono in modo criptico, non si capisce più nulla.

Il packing interno e cioè le stampe e le scritte sui dischi sono in lingua spagnola e credo olandese o tedesco...significa che i dischi non sono nemmeno tutti prodotti in italia e/o per il mercato italiano come ci si aspetta.
La foto inganna...il cofanetto non è così profondo come appare in foto e i dischi sono tutti in un unico scomparto in plastica di colore blu.

Acquistati per un regalo, ho scoperto che, pur se sulla confezione era indicato che il prodotto era in Italiano (dolby 5:1), in realtà non era così. Confezionati evidentemente all'estero il primo blu ray aveva il menu lingue (sloveno, cinese, israeliano, tedesco, spagnolo...ma niente italiano); dal secondo al quinto niente menù lingue: solo inglese. Gli ultimi tre erano OK.

(mio commento:si riferirà alla lingua dei menu o alla lingua del film? boh.)

su tutti e 8 i BR sono stampigliate le copertine dei film IN LINGUA SPAGNOLA!!! Ma dico io...;

ATTENZIONE ALLA SEGUENTE RECENSIONE:

I DVD non sono stati curati graficamente e nemmeno messi in ordine numerico per il cofanetto. Mancano i dischi speciali (e se le scene tagliate -parecchie- fossero là dentro sarebbe davvero ridicolo).

Negli 8 DVD visti mancano molte scene che mi ricordavo invece di aver visto nei film.
Sono rimasta molto delusa.
"Collezione completa" di DVD INCOMPLETI quindi.
E' POSSIBILE INTRODURRE L'OBBLIGO DI SCRIVERE SE IL FILM E' O NO INTEGRALE? SAREBBE DAVVERO CORRETTO NEI CONFRONTI DEI COMPRATORI. GRAZIE.

Come dicevo prima quindi, amazon mischia le recensioni del cofanetto dvd e bluray facendo di fatto un bel casino.

A questo punto assodato che nella versione amazon.co.uk l'italiano c'è per tutti i film TRANNE gli ultimi due, mi rimetto ha chi ha già questo cofanetto per dirci se l'audio del film è in tutti i film o no e in che formato è. grazie!

The content of this box set is amazing, but the title and description are a blatant lie. These discs are NOT region free. The product description and title need to be updated.

Altra differenza tra .it e .uk: la nostra è un unica confezione blu trasparente con dentro 8 bluray "a libretto".
Quella inglese invece ha 8 bluray normali (quindi ognuno nella sua confezione blu trasparente) e poi racchiusi in un cartone che li tiene uniti..

Ci dovrebbe essere questa stessa versione in italia ma non penso che su amazon ci sia e non saprei dove trovarla da altre parte.
Mi pare di aver capito poi che questa abbia i bluray abbastanza completi(contenuti speciali ecc) mentre quella di cui stiamo parlando nel thread di amazon.it qualcuno lamenta che siano film nudi e crudi.

Io penso che prenderò quello inglese.. Anche l'audio in inglese dovrebbe essere migliore (pcm e dts hd)

Conferma che gli ultimi due film non prendono proprio in considerazione l'italiano.
Appena riesco a capire bene se i film sono completi (qualcuno lamentava scene mancanti) e altre piccole cosette se sono versioni rental senza menu ecc, lo prendo.
33 euro spese gratis(occhio a cosa impostate come spedizione altrimenti la pagate 2 pound e 80) non mi sembra affatto male..

I menù dei primi film (non ricordo fino a quale) non ci sono...però tramite ps3 puoi "forzare" il menù e ti appare la selezione delle scene, audio, sottotitoli e contenuti speciali. E mi pare siano in italiano, niente lingue strane.

Tranne per I DONI DELLA MORTE 1+2 i dischi non hanno il titolo indicato...quindi è una stampa riciclata da versioni estere.

Devo dedurre che abbiano fatto ristampe sbagliate?

Ma comunque i video dei primi film non sono da buttare...immagine decente, non paragonabile agli ultimi, certo...e se considerate che lo stesso master è stato utilizzato anche per l'edizione galattica nella scatola con tutti i gadget, beh, io non so se e quando verrà fatta una ulteriore ristampa migliore..

The box turned out to be smaller than I thought [read the dimensions properly], is made of cardboard and contains 4 bluray cases covering films 1 to 8.The first two boxes include two bluray discs with each disc containing the movie and its special features [same as those on previous DVDs]. The box containing movies 5 & 6 has 3 discs with 2 being dedicated for movie 6 [disc 1:feature and disc 2:special features]. The last box has four discs. Two for Deathly Hallows Part 1 & 2 and two for the special features.
Movies are letterboxed such that they retain their 2.39:1 aspect ratio on standard monitors/television screens. There's quite a bit of different audio and subtitle choices for those interested. The older films' special features are mostly Standard Definition but there's one special feature in movie 4 that's High Definition. So discs including and beyond movie 4 has increasing numbers of High Definition features.
There was one issue I had during playback of the features where VLC played both the feature and commentary feature for movie 6. Disabling all video tracks and then selecting only the one needed solved the problem. This fixes the issue with VLC "spawning" or opening another window with the subtitles appearing only on the original window.

There was an issue with the special features on movie 5, especially "Trailing Tonks", where the video image gets extremely distorted with colour blocks. I believe this to be a problem with the disc however but I've already watched that special feature on my DVD. Still, sending me a product that ends up damaged or doesn't work properly is an insult so I'll take a star off.

Do note that the first two films are NOT "Director Cuts" of the films. Those were made for the TV broadcast in America and merely incorporated the deleted scenes into the film

1) This set is different from the American version.
2) Movie starts right up when inserted; no previews, menus, etc. I like that!

It contains 4 blue hard plastic plastic disk holders. 3 are normal width, 1 is double width. The single width holders contain 2 or 3 disks. There are 11 disks in total.

Holder #1 Contains 2 disks:

Holder #2 Contains 2 disks:

Having watched the films I can now say that it is indeed a bargain, and can highly recommend it. I have knocked a star off to reflect the fact that the packaging remains boring, but I am being very harsh since the actual product (the disks) is as five star as a box set can be.

What you get is 11 disks. There is one disk for each of the first 5 films, and two disks for each of the last 3 films.

The first 5 movies/disks go straight to the movie (this is how I like it, no piracy warnings, no menu, just play ...) BUT press the pop-up menu button and you get access to all the extras that appear on the 2-disk DVDs. Some people have moaned about the lack of extras, some people have claimed these are rental versions with no extras, the Amazon description only refers to the extras on the final 3 movies, BUT ALL THE EXTRAS ARE HERE.

The final 3 movies are two disks each, with the movie on one and additional extras on the second. On loading a disk, these now go to a menu, hence some misleading confusion about the lack of content on the first 5 disks.

There is a noticeable increase in the quality of the video in these films, hence the need for two disks

The box is simple, not very durable, but it'll keep your movies together, it must be handled carefully.

The movies boxes and discs are consistent, with good printing and material quality.

The content of the movies is excellent, no weird colors, no glitches, good sound and image, region free.

The extra content is ok, i don't really care about it, but it's just for the last movie (7 part 1 and 7 part 2) [NON E' VERO NON LI HA TROVATI].

If you care about good packaging, extra content, collection edition, etc, DO NOT BUY THIS.
if you just want the movies, THIS IS YOUR PRODUCT.

Dopo aver letto tutte queste cose, penso che alla fine prenderò questo.
A volte con 33 euro non si comprano alcune trilogie.. questo ha ben 11 bluray!

Confesso, al contrario della maggior parte dei giudizi positivi sul versante video, di non aver goduto eccessivamente. Sullo schermo 107 pollici e vpr speravo in una maggior definizione.Sto naturalmente parlando degli ultimi 3 o 4 film, beninteso! Non sono i miei settaggi perchè altri film ne escono bene. Per carità, nulla di devastante, ma col Principe Mezzosangue dove ho letto peana sul fronte immagine, ho rilevato sfondi impastatini e poca definizione anche sugli incarnati, a meno di un primissimo piano. Capisco anche che la fotografia di Delbonnel è sempre stata particolare, ma gli unici momenti davvero felici mi pare fossero i "viaggi" del maghetto nei ricordi, con quella bella luce verdastra......boh.

Quel cofanetto di estetico non ha veramente nulla,dischi senza titoli con la stampa in spagnolo,per poi avere la qualità del dvd,preferisco prendere le confezioni singole in dvd che sono anche belle esteticamente.Poi non ho capito cosa cambia dal cofanetto con il lato blue e quello con il lato nero?
