LucasFilm has chosen Star Wars Day (May The 4th) to finally reveal more information about the upcoming Star Wars Blu-ray releases, due to hit shelves September 16th. The three editions include The Complete Saga with all the movies included, or the original trilogy / prequels by themselves. When the counter hit zero the official website has dropped the curtain on... absolutely nothing so far since it's down, likely crashed by the refreshing of a billion fans around the world. So far we've been able to suss out the release dates (September 12th internationally , 16th in the US) and a list of special features included after the break along with a trailer. Currently the site is refreshing to the standard Fox page , but from what we saw before it crashed, the plan is for a promotion where fans share the page on social media networks, and access additional artwork, etc. as more people continue to visit throughout the page. We'll let you know if R2-D2 can get the servers back up, until then we can all just imagine what the three new documentaries might be like.

Anche se aborro i ridoppiaggi l'unico flim che andrebbe rifatto è Episodio I, "Palpatain" è davvero orribile..!!!! Per non parlare dei Mercanti che parlano uno pseudo russo...oibò

per me possono ridoppiarlo quante volte vogliono, se nn mi mettono le tracce audio originali nn lo compro.
E per i primi 3 episodi sono fortemente in dubbio se prenderli o meno, per me star wars si compone di 3 film: episodio 4, 5 e 6.

il mio dubbio è sui contenuti extra, prendere le 2 trilogie separate è lo stesso che prendere il cofanetto completo? stessi contenuti?

..mi sa di no, credo che i cofanetti separati includano solo i 3 film ciascuno, se volete i 3 dischi aggiuntivi di extra vi tocca prendere il cofanetto completo (che a mio avviso è comunque davvero bello)..
Onestamente la grafica esterna è l'ultima cosa che mi interessa..
Sarebbe stato bello sapere qualcosa sulla localizzazione delle tracce, tipo se l'italiano sarà in DTS normale o HD; se il doppiaggio sarà quello (speriamo!!) originale; se ci saranno ulteriori rimaneggiamenti di montaggio/effetti sui film ; se per caso sarà possibile (non credo) in seamless branching vedere le edizioni cinematografiche non ritoccate...
Boh aspetteremo la Fox italia che faccia lumi.

Veramente non si sa se nemmeno se l'audio inglese sarà HD. Il DTS surround 6.1 (DTS ES?) in genere è il lossy normale. Non si sa neanche come sono stati eseguiti i riversamenti video della saga originale (2k, 4K?). Un po troppo vaghi, forse i dettagli si conosceranno più avanti...spero.
