con la radio mi diverto ad usare i DSP tanto l segnale già in partenza non è il massimo. il "All Channel Stereo" dell'Onkyo è carino ma dovrei stare seduto giusto al centro della stanza per non avere l'effetto di cui parlavo prima e cioè sentire le voci sulla mia testa dato che il divano è in linea con i surround.

io ogni tanto lo accendo su tutte e sette le casse più il sub in soggiorno e anche in bagno, stessa fonte ma suonata dal secondo ampli...

giri per casa e sei avvolto dalla musica...

il posizionamento dei laterali deve stare al bordo della "menzola" così da evitare che le prime riflessioni rimbalzino sul piano di appoggio come ti è già stato detto, per quanto riguarda l'altezza non c'è una regola univoca ma basta che i diffusori partano da 50 cm sopra il punto di ascolto, i laterali puoi anche metterli più in alto se vuoi basta non riuscire a localizzarli e che creino un ambiente a 360°

certamente ti consiglio un 7.1 anzi un 7.2 e non smetterò mai di dirti di inserire il secondo sub credo che la casa che stai costruendo rimanga tale per svariati anni quindi una scelta a sette canali è sicuramente future proof, non avendo spazio dietro il divano ti ripeto di fare delle prove con dei bipolari sia per il surround back che per i laterali, ovviamente i back vanno distanziati maggiormente quindi dimenticati l'asa del thx

I'm italian and I'm going to set up my home theater with your advising. please I don't have understand one thing in the 7.1 system..
the back surround should be the direct firing type and placed together on the back wall.... what is the correct height? firing type you mean ears height? or may the surround back shoul be placed at the same height of the surround SL-SR?

Dear Nicola,

Your English is no problem, I understand your question.

Our universal recommendation for back speakers in a 7.1 system is two high dispersion (dipole or bipole) speakers spread about 60 degrees and 0.5m or more above the listeners heads. What is most important is that every seat hears a smooth even sound and that no one can hear the location of the speaker when looking at the screen.

Two direct radiating speakers side by side and 0.5m higher that listeners heads is an alternative recommendation when using current THX Certified AVRs that have the Adaptable Speaker Array (ASA) feature. ASA is unnecessary with new AVRs that have DD-HD or DTS-HD decoding because the are capable of 7.1 discrete playback.

thank you very much for your quick answer, i 've bought the klipsch thx ultra 2 system and i'm going to set up all the speacker, i've a last question and i promise i will not disturb again..:-).. in the web site the height of surround (not back) are reccomended 2 or more feet above the listeners ears.. but the back and the surround shouldn't be to the same height? i mean i put the surround to the same height of back surround (0,5m)or not? thank you again

Hi Nikola,

Not necessarily. The goal is to have smooth coverage of every seat without being able to hear the individual speakers. Having them at the same height is OK so long as the soundfield meets requirements above. As always, the most important thing is the result.

Grazie Nicola,
sto vedendo per delle wharfedale DFS 20 da usare come surround bipolari...
Wharfedale raccomanda di metterle sulla parete posteriore in quanto una parte del diffusore è rivolta verso l'ascoltatore mentre l'altra verso la parete laterale..
si crea così una riproduzione diretta verso l'ascolto per gli effetti puramente rear...mentre verso le pareti laterali si creano gli effetti d'ambienza tipici( temporale ecc ).
Credo che partirò in 5.1 con due DFS20 dietro al divano e un po' in alto per poi provarne altri due come laterali appoggiate su una libreria come da disegni precedenti....

Ecco lo studio della saletta con 4 wharfedale DFS 20 come surround e surround back. Sono delle bipolari...
Da seduti a destra del divano ho previsto una paretina in cartongesso su cui appendere il SR... Il SL appeso sulla parete della finestra...
Dalla paretina in cartongesso alla parete dello schermo e davanti alla finestra prevederò dei tendaggi pesanti neri da far scorrere su dei binari a soffitto....
