Diciamo che come base di partenza ha la fama acquisita con lo sviluppo di madvr,
perciò già chi bazzica nel mondo home theater e htpc sa chi è, in più ha presentato il prodotto a una fiera,
Vende a livello globale? Sicuramente rischioso però sparando nel mucchio qualcosa si becca di sicuro.
Vedremo, sono curioso di vedere come procede.

Beh vende ai mercati che già conoscono ed usano MadVR ... non ci vedo nulla di particolare in effetti.
È stato interessante leggere le sue risposte grazie al link di treno perché ha chiarito alcuni punti chiave in ottica futura. Envy è ancora un WIP ma la cosa interessante è che la community è ancora in grado di poter suggerire o chiedere qualcosa a livello di features software. Abbiamo anche tolto il velo alla GPU, che come da più ipotizzato è una 2080Ti e che nella versione Pro Cinema probabilmente è in SLI, altrimenti non si capisce bene come questa versione possa avere così tanta potenza di calcolo più del modello inferiore. Abbiamo capito più o meno i costi “crudi” (con buona pace di chi assembla PC da una vita ...) ed anche quello che vorrebbe poter fare da qui al prossimo futuro.

Sono curioso anche io, ma voglio portare bene e pensare che Envy è nato sotto una buona stella

Sono convinto anch'io che gli vada bene ( a meno che combinano qualche ostregata ) i presupposti ci sono tutti e per un azienda che si propone ai mercati più ricchi sicuramente venderà.

Sono scelte, ed alla base di queste solitamente c'è un ragionamento e diverse considerazioni.
E di solito solo col senno di poi si avrebbe avuto la certezza su quale strada intraprendere. Ma a prescindere e senza voler fare i conti in tasca a nessuno immagino che avere un prodotto "Lumagen Style" (visto che potrebbe essere il concorrente..........[CUT]

hai assolutamente ragione, infatti poi avevo proseguito con qualche "ma"
per aggredire tutti devi avere una base di risorse molto elevata...facilmente si comporta esattamente come un artigiano di prodotti di lusso, piu facilmente gestibile sia come produzione che post vendita.

Latest madVR Developments

We've been busy adding many new patent pending features to madVR. This includes our new histogram shaped 4K HDR dynamic frame by frame tone mapping (HSTM) and new Shadow Detail Recovery algorithms, which restore damage typically caused to contrast and shadow detail by alternative tone mapping methods. The response has been overwhelming, and we look forward to you seeing it in action.

E cosa ha a che fare il Barco con il discorso ? Il link che ho postato (preso paro paro dalla stessa newsletter che evidentemenre è arrivata anche a te) vuole solo dimostrare che l'uso di Envy migliora l'immagine anche di un 3chip DLP laser, più di quanto non faccia il processore Lumagen in possesso del proprietario. Che poi abbia messo la faccina perché il Barco è un signor proiettore, ok .... ma il thread qui non è su quello. Giusto ?
