Se poi vuoi provare quello con l'ultima versione di ASIO inserita, e che potrebbe davvero risolvere il problema dei pops e cracks che sento di tanto in tanto in J River quando uso ASIO e muovo il mouse puoi arrischiarti di scaricare dal link di fianco in bianco e rosso. Oppure aspettare e vedere che lo faccio io in modo da capire se ne vale la pena..

Mh, mi sa che ne vale la pena Non ho resistito e provato immediatamente.
Ora ASIO funziona da Dio. Nessuno fastidio nella riproduzione alcuno. Doveva proprio essere il driver precedente fallato (il 2.0.0.7)

Peccato che avendo Windows 64 bit i driver non sono firmati e bisogna avviare Windows in signature mode off, but who cares?

You can upgrade from any previous version of JRiver Media Center for
$26.98. When you install MC17, it will find and convert your old library
(recent versions) and user settings from MC16. You can manually restore
settings from a backup of MC15. If you use MC14 or an earlier version,
MC17 can convert your library, but not your user settings.

If you purchased MC16 after October 1, 2011, you received an MC17 license,

Ti serve AnyDVD

Perchè, esistono ancora degli htpcisti che non hanno AnyDVD?

Un'altra cosa: è facilmente gestibile da telecomando?

P.s. ho visto solo adesso, sul loro sito, che vendono un telecomando che mi sembra tanto il classico MCE, è giusto?

Non si sa mai

Un'altra cosa: è facilmente gestibile da telecomando?

Io uso EventGhost che è esterno per cui non faccio molto testo... ma immagino vi siano diverse soluzioni.

ho fatto diverse prove, prima con tutte le finestre non spuntate come anche output format....
poi ho spuntato output format e messo sia "dipendente dal segnale in entrata" che 5.1 ma, sempre e solo le casse anteriore destro e sinistro si sentono.
piu che altro l'ampli non vede un segnale multicanale......
cmq non importa ragazzi per ora continuo ad usare mpc-hc intanto provo a vedere se ogni tanto trovo qualche soluzione...grazie a tutti

Per il discorso TMT potrebbe essere, non credo in effetti che sia necessario installarlo per poter usare il codec, alla fine è solo una libreria caricata da LAV, bisogna provare cmq.

Ho anche chiesto conferma sul forum di JRiver in merito a questo e, in effetti, basta solo copiare la dll senza necessità di installare TMT.

Complice il cambio di hard disk, sono passato a SSD, ho stabilito un nuovo record per quanto riguarda il numero minimo di programmi installati per avere un HTPC completo sotto Windows

io uso dvbviewer per il sat e mediaportal come frontend per film e serie tv. jriver mi pare non supporti sat, ma è paragonabile a media portal per locandine, trame ecc ecc... ?

Sì, mi pare il SAT non sia supportato.

Non conosco molto Media Portal cmq siamo ai livelli di XBMC o Plex per quanto riguarda le informazioni. Gli scrapers usati puntano alle stesse fonti: TheMovieDb.org etc.

Assolutamente sì. Ti basta leggere questo thread qui per capire quanto facciano sul serio al riguardo. Senza contare che partecipano alla discussione persone che il Room Correction software l'hanno scritto per davvero ( leggi Uli Brüggemann di AudioVero ).

Io ho scoperto JRiver perché a tutti i costi voler dotarmi del Room Correction senza sacrificare la semplicità d'uso o la trasparenza stessa dell'operazione qualunque fosse il contesto software. Bramavo una cosa simile non solo per l'uso stereo ma anche per il multicanale con i film. Quando stavo per perdere ogni speranza... è spuntato un raggio di sole, forse anche il sole tutto intero

OK, approfondiamo il discorso room correction? Qual'è la procedura? c'è un wizard o devi creare i filtri con DRC?

Devi creare i filtri ovviamente e poi li carichi attraverso il convolutore di JRiver.

Cmq confesso la mia corrente ignoranza in materia. E' stato Picander che mi ha contagiato. Per cui ne ho di strada da fare. Per cominciare settimana prossima arriva il kit di misurazione

Credo che i filtri vadano creati a parte... sarebbe troppo avere un prodotto che fa anche quello!

Edit: postato insieme :asd: Come mic io ho uno scrausissimo behringer ECM8000, me lo faccio bastare anche perchè i kit più seri costano sui 180eur...

Quindi misurazione di ogni singolo diffusore con REW, creazione dei filtri con DRC.... e Room Correction Jriver.

Could one of you experienced guys outline the steps and what product is needed at each step?

You need MC plus a Digital Room Correction program.

The leading options are:

Another solution, more of an automated equalizer:

As far as I know they all achieve good results. They will not achieve the same results, even from the same measurement.
So your results may vary. The most important thing to remember is it all comes down to developing a target response for your system in your room that you like. So you end up depending on your ears.
