per dovere di cronaca e per essere disponibile a tutti gli utenti riporto integralmente le mie domande e le risposte che ho ottenuto da Chris Kyriakakis (audyssey)
Hi, I got an onkyo 807
after I perform the audyssey set up, following the av manual microphone position, the response of the speakers are "out of phase"! in the stereo listening the center of voice of dialogue it's disperser typical of "out of phase) , you belive it!??
but when the position of audyssey microphone are inverted the result i'ts fine and the phase are correct
this is my 6 listenig position
456
213
result correct phase.
this position out phase
456
312
thanks
gianluca
re:Ciao Gianluca,
The phase (actually the polarity) is calculated from the first microphone position. The other positions have nothing to do with polarity calculation. Also, Audyssey does not change the polarity. It just reports a warning so you can check the wires. If they are fine, you just Skip and proceed.
Which speaker is reporting the error? Please look on the screen to see which one it is and check the wiring on the back of the speaker and the amplifier. Sometimes speaker makers have intentionally reversed the polarity of a driver in the speaker.
Best regards,

mia seconda domanda:
thanks Chris,
the polarity of my speakers it's ok (diamond 9.6 wharfedale)I checked the wires and I applied last week 9v battery to the connectors to check the cross over, the woofer go out correctly.
there's no error message from audyssey setup.
I don't know , so probably it was my "acuphene"?but the difference it's obvious, when I used the personal next near microphone position from the first position.
sorry for my bad english.
best regards
gianluca
re:
Ciao Gianluca,
ciao a tutti e grazie
