Firmware Update Steps:
1. Unzip the downloaded file into the root directory of a USB thumb drive
2. Plug the USB thumb drive into USB port of A-500/A-500U
3. Access to Setup->Maintenance in UI
4. Select Firmware Update and press Enter on the "Check For Firmware Update" button
5. If the file a500-update.bin/a500u-update.bin is found in the USB thumb drive, it will prompt for firmware update

*Alternately you can access to Setup->Maintenance in UI to perform online update as well.

NMT Apps Update Steps:
1. Unzip the downloaded file into the root directory of your USB thumb drive
2. Plug the USB thumb drive into USB port of A-500/A-500U
2. Access to Setup->Maintenance->NMT Setup Wizard, and it will start the update when apps.nmt is found in the USB thumb drive

*Alternately you can access to Setup->NMT Setup Wizard in UI to perform online update as well.

L'A-500 è il nuovo V-TEN (che ha seguito l'A-400), con sistema operativo linux proprietario di CloudMedia.
L'A-500 Pro ha dentro di sè l'A-500, più il sistema operativo del Chameleon (Android, ma ultima versione 6) e Netflix, più le uscite audio analogiche simili a quelle dell'A-410, ma bilanciate. È un tre-in-uno con dual boot.

io netflix ce l'ho con la mia smart tv....in che senso ce l'ha dentro? senza abbonamento? il 500 pro neanche è uscito e chissà quanto ci vuole oltre al costo. ma secondo voi l'himedia q10 pro come vi sembra? lo si trova a 200 euro e sembra abbia un po di tutto. a me interessa per i film in 4k nativi

Caio ragazzi,
Stavo pensando fosse arrivato il momento di sostituire il mio Popcorn Hour A-400, devo dire che negli anni in quanto a qualità dell'immagine e a funzionamento generale non mi ha mai deluso (da premettere che non sono un amante dell'estremo in termini di codec e formati quindi non è neanche così difficile accontantarmi ), a parte i primi mesi in cui i firmware erano piuttosto ballerini e la lentezza endemica di ogni parte dell'interfaccia (i tempi accensione/spegnimentoli trovo veramente assurdi) devo dire che ha fatto il suo sporco lavoro.

Naturale conseguenza parrebbe l'acquisto di un A-500, le domende per voi cari possessori sono le seguenti:
Velocità dell'interfaccia...come siamo messi?
Assenza dell' hdmi 2.0...è possibile nel 2016 o non andremo mai più veloci di 30fps in 4k quindi non ve ne sarà la necessità?
Stabilità del firmware e sue funzionalità...mangia di tutto o si pianta per ogni cosa?
Ma soprattutto come mai per i vari 400 e 410 vi erano infinite pagine di discussioni sul funzionamento e i bug mentre ora si leggono giusto due commenti e gli aggiornamenti? Non lo ha comprato nessuno? Funziona così bene che non c'è nulla da segnalare? O i player basati su android e altri chipset hanno reso questi 300€ non più necessari?

Grazie mille a chi vorrà chiarire i miei dubbi prima dell'eventuale acquisto

Io ho il 500-Pro. Lato 500 va benissimo come sempre.

Se però consideri che questa è la quinta generazione di Popcorn e che i precedenti continuano a fare egregiamente il loro dovere, non tutti avvertono l'esigenza di sostituire la propria macchina...

Aggiungici la questione costo e le motivazioni attendiste appaiono forse più chiare...
