stavo confrontando l'A-410 con il vten. il vten è più nuovo ma costa meno. ho visto le differenze tecniche ma non ci capisco molto.

ciao, uso da tanto tempo A- 410. Ho sempre guardato file .mkv ottenuti tramite PC.
Ora che invece utilizzo Mac sto riscontrando grosse difficoltà nella visione: dopo qualche minuto che il film è avviato il POp Corn non ne riconosce più il formato immagine deformando la visione. Manualmente posso rimetterlo, con qualche difficoltà, nella dimensione originale ma poi, quasi subito, ritorna nella vista schiacciata. Ho già fatto il reset del Pop Corn ma non ho ottenuto benefici.
Suggerimenti?

Al momento oltre al 410 (fuori produzione) dobbiamo aspettare il 500 Pro per avere un Dac interno per ascoltare musica decentemente?
Inoltre ho visto che costa uno sproposito!

Puoi sempre decidere se far decodificare al Popcorn o uscire in digitale e far decodificare al sintoampli/pre finale.

Ho un problema con il mio pop a410, non mi vede più il nas. Ho guardato le luci dello switch a cui è collegato e non c'è la lucina accesa, ho provato anche a cambiare cavo ma niente...pare che la scheda di rete non funzioni. Qualcuno ha avuto problemi simili???? Devo mandarlo in assistenza o posso provare a resattare alle impostazioni di fabbrica????

Mi sembra molto strana, la cosa.

La cosa più semplice è disporre un ritorno ai valori di fabbrica tramite menu: nell'area aggiornamento firmware c'è un pulsante in basso che lo consente.

Altrimenti qui http://support.cloudmedia.com/article.aspx?ID=1163
trovi le istruzioni di ripristino dopo il tentato upgrade firmware non completato correttamente, ma mi sembra una procedura davvero eccessiva rispetto al problema che lamenti.

Follow these instructions to recover the Popcorn Hour A-410 if the firmware update fails.

This method is only applicable for the Popcorn Hour A-410.

1. Download the following zip file: http://files.syabas.com/popcornhour/...0-recovery.zip
2. After unzipping the archieve, please rename a410-update.bin to recovery-image.bin
2. Copy recovery-image.bin file into the root of a USB thumbdrive (must be format to FAT32 or NTFS file system only).
3. Connect the Popcorn Hour A-410 to a TV through the Component or Composite or HDMI outputs.
4. Power up the Popcorn Hour A-410.
5. Component or Composite or HDMI video will display blue background with "Firmware recovery. Please insert USB"
6. Plug the USB thumbdrive into the Popcorn Hour A-410 USB port to start the recovery process.
7. After successful recovery, power cycle will bring it up again to 05-04-131018-25-POP-425-000 firmware.

If steps 1 - 7 stated above fail, follow these instructions:

A. Power down the Popcorn Hour A-410.
B. Insert a jumper on uart0 (see files.syabas.com/popcornhour/download/A400jumper.jpg for exact location)
C. Plug the same USB thumbdrive with the same bin files into the Popcorn Hour A-410 USB port and the same component or composite or HDMI cables into the Popcorn Hour A-410 and TV. If these cables have not been removed since you followed steps 1-7, just leave them plugged in.
D. Power up the Popcorn Hour A-410
E. Follow steps number 5-7 above.
F. After the update process completed, power down the unit when the screen showing a message "rebooting in 10 seconds"
G. Remove the jumper.
H. Remove USB thumbdrive, component and/or composite cables.
I. Your Popcorn Hour will is now using 05-04-131018-25-POP-425-000 firmware.
J. Plug in desired connectors (HDMI, Component, Network, optical, etc.) and pat yourself on the back for successfully fixing your Popcorn Hour A-410.

è disponibile un nuovo firmware beta per questo dispositivo, sembra essere un aggiornamento maggiore, ho notato un aumento della fluidità della navigazione.

Guardando sempre file provenienti da Mac, con quale formattazione è meglio usare gli HD esterni da utilizzare poi sul 410?
da quando ho fatto il passaggio da PC a Mac il 410 non mi risponde più bene e ho sempre problemi di visualizzazione. Ho mandato il Popcorn alla sede in garanzia ma me lo hanno reso con lo stesso problema.

se l'HD è collegato al mac e vedi i contenuti tramite rete, io direi filesystem apple, se invece usi l'Hd collegato ad entrambi NTFS
