That boring piece of kit can be from none other than Sanyo. Too bad, 'cause this pig can hunt. The LP-Z2000 1080p projector loads what appears to be the same trio of Epson-made 0.74-inch LCDs as Mitsubishi's LVP-HC6000 which offers the same 10-bit color reproduction and hushed 19dB operational noise level. The Sanyo betters its peer however, with a reported 15,000:1 contrast ratio, 2x zoom, and blinding 1200 lumens off a 165W UHP lamp. They've even tossed in a couple of component connections on top of a pair of HDMI 1.3a terminals. All this for a tad more at ¥378,000 (about $3,255) if you're living in Japan where this baby hits on November 1st. Paper bag for that mug, extra.

Munich, 24 August 2007 --- SANYO Electric CO., Ltd. (SANYO) the PLV-Z2000 pre a new Full hp (1920 x 1080) places to home cinema projector. As Full hp projector offers the PLV-Z2000 more than twice as many pixels like traditional projectors - like for example the PLV-Z5. The projector has also a double wide angle zoom shot, with which large projections are possible in living rooms or even in smaller areas.

ho comprato sia lo z1 che lo z4. di entrambi sono rimasto veramente entusiasta in funzione del prezzo e delle prestazioni in rapporto al periodo di lancio. in questo francamente non vedo nulla di innovativo rispetto agli altri vpr oggi in commercio. un caratteristica della sanyo rispetto ai suoi concorrenti era proprio quella di riuscire ad anticipare i tempi e differenziarsi con soluzioni innovative ed originali che rendevano unici questi vpr.
questa volta sanyo non solo esce in ritardo ma non vedo nessuna novità, innovazione o nuova idea.

Scusa,io ho avuto lo z3/z4/z5,le innovazioni di questi modelli erano nel miglioramento della qualità video,sempre meno zanza e VB,miglior contrasto e colori + fedeli.
Lo z4 ha introdotto la chiusura automatica del copri lente e lo z5 lo riportava,l'uno,due e tre avevano la chiusura copri lente manuale,dove erano queste migliorie se non nella qualità video?
Non capisco cosa intendi per "soluzioni innovative"...sono vpr,non automobili,le soluzioni innovative credo che devono essere a livello video e Sanyo ha sempre rispettato un buon salto qualitativo tra una serie e l'altra(come del resto anche le altre case).Considerando poi che Sanyo,come altri produttori,monta matrici lcd non di proprietà...c'è poco da essere avanti,infatti Sanyo,Epson,Hitachi,Panasonic hanno sempre fatto modelli in contemporanea,Sanyo questa volta ha ritardato,credo, per non uscire dal suo "pensiero" di proiettori di fascia economica,quindi ha aspettato che i prezzi calassero un po.
Aspettiamo di vederlo in azione per giudicarlo,certo che se i risultati saranno simili a Pana e Epson full Hd...
