Per fare peggio di ATI si devono proprio impegnare il vantaggio della Matrox è che forse consente di utilizzare players come WinDVD e powerDVD che non sfruttano appieno le capacità hardware delle Ati così come fanno Cineplayer4 e theaterTek ( entrambi su motore Ravisent )Il vantaggio più grande è invece quello di evitare di leggere i posts di Stephen Orr che asserisce che è stato risolto il gamma bug dell'8500 ma che non può dire quando tale driver sarà reso disponibile

Alberto, di sicuro non ti sarà sfuggito l'esilarante thread dove Mr.Orr anticipa le lecite domande degli utenti sulla fantomatica risoluzione del gamma issue sulla release 6071 dei drivers per radeon dicendo in sintesi:
"E' vero che avevo giurato che nella prossima release dei drivers per la radeon avremmo risolto al 100% il problema del gamma sulla 8500, ma non intendevo la prossima release come potrebbero intenderla il 99,99 periodico degli utenti ATI, intendevo la prossima release come la intendo io ed io soltanto.

Ovvero, ha aggiunto il sottoscritto, sarà nella prossima vita!!

p.s.; la ATI guarda caso ha sfornato decine di release leaked o non leaked, la maggior parte delle quali con pochissimi miglioramenti o addirittura con vistosi peggioramenti e adesso che dovrebbe rilasciare il driver che consenta una inversione di rotta a tutti hli HTPCisti possessori della 8500, adesso, dicevo, che cosa fa?
Semplice, non rilascia alcunchè perchè segue l'iter per avere la certificazione WHQL da Microsoft giusto per fare attendere qualche altro mese a quei poveri utenti che se la sono comprata!!!
