Taratura TV Sony

Ho da piu' di tre anni un TV Sony 32 pollici Wega, per la precisione il KV32FD60A pagato all'epoca circa 3.800.000 vecchie lire.
Da premettere che allo stesso ho collegato un dvd player Sony 315 (anche lui acquistato 3 anni fa, pagato na' cifra), collegato con scart RGB (credo sia il collegamento ottimale che io possa fare con questi due apparecchi). Da un po' di tempo ho notato visionando i film in DVD che e' comparso un difetto di geometria... credo che si chiami distorsione a "botte" o qualcosa del genere, il difetto l'ho anche verificato con THX optimizer di Episode I ed e' abbastanza accentuato in modalità "allargata". Sono andato ad un centro assistenza certificato Sony e il tecnico con aria normale mi ha detto "IL TELEVISORE E' DA RIPARARE, NON E' POSSIBILE INTERVENIRE PER LA GEOMETRIA CON IL MENU' DI SERVIZIO (??) BISOGNA CHE ME LO PORTI CHE LO APRIAMO !!!". Adesso domando, io sono un tecnico informatico e so' che i monitor anche piu' economici hanno la regolazione della geometria... e inoltre leggo questo forum e ho sentito parlare spesso di geometria, di taratura etc etc...
e' possibile che questi ci devono sempre fregare ? Il televisore tra parentesi pesa circa 70 Kg, ed e' un'impresa smontarlo dalla posizione attuale per portarlo in laboratorio...
Emidio o qualcuno che conosce i Wega, e' vera questa cosa ?
Cosa mi consigliate ? Me lo devo tenere così ?

HOW TO ENTER SERVICE MODE
Read the SERVICE MODE WARNING before proceeding.

First, turn off power with the main switch on the front panel.

Hold the plus and minus buttons on the front panel and turn on power. Wait for picture, then release the plus and minus buttons. It now shows "TT" (test mode) on screen.

Once "TT" isdisplayed, select a number from the remote:


The newer Sony televisions use a different procedure to senter service mode:


Turn on the main power switch and enter into the stand-by mode.
Press the following sequence of buttons on the Remote Control:
info/disp (OSD)
5 (Number 5)
vol+ (Volume Up)
TV

[vol+] (Volume Up)
[teletext off]


The television will turn on and "TT" will appear in the upper right corner of the screen. Other status information will also be displayed. Press "MENU" on the remote control to obtain the following menu on the screen:

Picture Adjustment
Geometry
Wide
IC Status
MSP
Current TV status


Also you can enter "TT" mode by opening the little hatch on the front, holding [P+] and [P-] (prog. button) switching main power on - then pressing menu twice enters the service menu.

Move to the corresponding adjustment using the button on the remote. Press the + button to enter the selected adjustment. Turn off the power to quit the service mode or enter 0, 0 (zero twice) when adjustments have been completed.

NAVIGATE IN SERVICE MODE
The service menu (01):
Up/Down (menu keys) you may select the module (controller chip) to modify.
OK selects the highlighted module.
Choose a parameter with Up/Down. OK then selects the parameter.
Up/Down changes the value.
OK writes the value to memory.
"Speaker Off" will toggle the display of the menu. The function is kept even when the menu is not displayed.

Ok, conosco questa procedura.
Pero' senza il manuale di servizio fare tarature e' una cosa molto pericolosa, essondo questi menu' composti per lo piu' da sigle sconosciute.
Quello che volevo dire (che secondo me e' GRAVE) e' che per una taratura eseguibile in loco via software il "TECNICO" mi dica che si deve "RIPARARE", "INVERVENIRE SULLA PIASTRA E SOSTITUIRE COMPONENTI DIFETTOSI", preludio a non so quale mega operazione di ingegneria elettronica.
Come se noi avessimo l'anello al naso !

pur di spillare i soldi ad i consumatori i nostri tecnici le provano tutte!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
l'importante è non farsi fregare....
Fagli capire che sei in possesso della procedura e vedi come reagisce!!

Io comunque ho un wega 32fd1-E ed ho provato a smanettare e ti assicuro che i parametri li vedi tutti a video e se non ti piace qualcosa pui rimettere dal + o - del telecomando i valori al loro posto.

Ho il tuo stesso televisore e circa 15 GIORNI FA (!!) sono entrato nel service mode per fare anche io una taraturina ma...

... non so come ne perchè, forse ho inserito qualche codice per sbaglio, mi sono ritrovato con il tv che aveva l'audio fuori sintonia (hai presente quando una radio è mal sintonizzata?).

Fortunatamente ho degli amici che lavorano ad un centro assistenza Sony e mi hanno mandato un tecnico che con un software (oltretutto gli era arrivata la nuova versione qualche giorno prima) ha ripristinato i parametri di base.
In pratica dopo aver toccato non so cosa mi ritrovavo con un tv settato per gli USA !!!

Costo dell'operazione 40 euro per la chiamata.

Quindi ti consigli di stare MOLTO attento.

Per quello che riguarda il sostituire "roba" sulla scheda madre la cosa sembra anche ame molto sospetta.

Io ho smanettato abbondantemente nel menù di servizio del mio SONY per tentare di correggere l'overscan (missione compiuta) e qualche distorsione (missione parzialmente fallita ).
Prima di farlo però ho preso nota di tutti i valori, per poter tornare eventualmente indietro senza difficoltà .
