How to install

Method 1, Flashing epk file from USB drive (Saturn 6 only)
LGMOD can be installed like any LG firmware update, with a simple USB stick :
Create a directory LG_DTV at root of your USB stick
Copy LGMOD epk file there
Plug you USB stick into TV
With remote control press "Menu", and higlight option submenu (do not go into)
Press 7 times "FAV"
Go for TV firmware upgrade
You're done !
(!) Do not install the same version-LGMOD on already installed LGMOD. If there has been a restart after the firmware upgrade - do not turn off the TV and do not try to flash a full version of the standard firmware - it will lead to the need to recover partitions with the aid of the console cable. Unless there was a reboot - you need to try again to flash the same or a smaller version.

e Pag. 92 post 1370. Se hai il FW 3.28,con la LGMOD in tuo possesso,
dai post risulta che puoi bloccare irreversibilmente il TV. Chiedi ai piu'
esperti prima di operare.Ti saluto

Eviterei di creare panico ... basta seguire le istruzioni ufficiali (quindi leggere l'apposito wiki che è sempre la fonte piu' aggiornata):

To activate USB video player on PK/PJ (Saturn 6) plasmas you need:
1. USB drive formatted in FAT16/FAT32. Drive should be write enabled (remove locks if present).
2. If your current firmware version is lower than 3.28 and you already have LGMOD installed, you need to remove previous patches. For doing this: create empty patch.sh in the root folder of the USB drive. Connect USB drive to the TV and power TV off and on from the remote. Check USB drive for the file patch.sh_used and delete this file. Do this step only if you installed LGMOD earlier.
3. Create folder LG_DTV in the root folder of the USB drive from step 1.
4. Install firmware 3.28. Download and unpack firmware EPK file to the LG_DTV folder of the USB drive from here http://openlgtv.org.ru/wiki/index.ph...odels)#v._3.28
5. Power TV off and on from the remote and install firmware (TV will ask you to upgrade after a few seconds).
6. In the root folder of the USB drive, create simple text file patch.sh with the following content:
devmem 0x70F7BA0 32 0x24020001
devmem 0x70F8380 32 0x34420001
devmem 0x70F8384 32 0x34840003
devmem 0x70F9C40 32 0x24020003
devmem 0x70F9C50 32 0x24020003
7. Install latest LGMOD version. Put lgmod*.epk to LG_DTV folder and install it. http://openlgtv.org.ru/wiki/index.php/LGMOD#Binaries
WARNING! You need LGMOD 1.6.2 or later. Installing LGMOD lower than 1.6.2 will brick your TV!
After installing LGMOD, TV will restart. Connect USB drive to the PC and check USB drive for patch.sh_used in the root folder. If the file exists, everything went well and you should have Divx enabled. If you got patch.sh_used and still have no Divx enabled, just power off/on TV from remote.
If you cannot get patch.sh_used, check the file extention of the patch.sh with Total Commander or similar file manager. Notepad for Windows adds .txt to the file extention and creates patch.sh.txt instead of patch.sh !!!

Non ho voluto creare panico ma ho creduto opportuno,visto quanto
accaduto a pag.92 post 1370,di chiedere ai piu' esperti prima utilizzare
la lgmod 10610.Se ho sbagliato non era mia intenzione.La gatta frettolosa partori' dei gattini ciechi!

Salve spero tu possa aiutarmi!!
Ho fatto tutto quello che tu hai descritto dettagliatamente, l'unica differenza è che ho installato LGMOD VER.1.6.10 da
http://openlgtv.org.ru/forum/download/file.php?id=117. Sembrava funzionasse tutto, ieri sera ho provato tutto ok appariva l'icona del ciak e vedevo i dvx, oggi schermo nero, sul pen-drive il file patch.sh_used con questo contenuto

Mi sembra strano che con la 1.6.10 ci sia una sola riga devmen ...

Se vedi ancora lo schermo nero crea un patch.sh assolutamente vuoto e caricalo (non deve esserci nessuna riga devmen né alcun carattere). Vedrai che la TV tornerà ad accendersi regolarmente.

Poi segui le istruzioni per la 1.6.10 (sono pubblicate qui sopra).
Come vedrai le righe devmen sono ben di piu'.

Ciao a tutti! volevo chiedere se a qualcuno di voi è capitato (usando un hd in rete) che il film non venga riprodotto: cioè entra nel player come se volesse riprodurre ma dopo un paio di secondi torna indietro. Se invece collego l'hd direttamente alla porta usb tv si vede tutto bene. Questo succede solo con alcuni film...

Puzza di timeout... dovuto forse ad una elevata latenza della rete (il ping tra la TV e il disco di rete a quanti millisecondi corrisponde?)

Se non è quello potrebbe essere un problema di dimensione del buffer dell'adattatore USB to Ethernet. Nel wiki ufficiale ci dovrebbe essere l'indicazione di un parametro (che puoi inserire via WEB GUI) che permette di regolarlo.

ciao, allora il tempo medio è di 3ms. Ho inserito tramite webgui il parametro per il buffer (insmod /modules/cifs.ko CIFSMaxBufSize=130048) ma niente.
L'adattatore è un d-link dub-e100.

ps: ho notato un'altra cosa: con i divx con audio ac3 (a 5 canali) l'audio è in ritardo rispetto al video (arriva anche a 10-15 secondi), ma ritengo sia un problema del player lg, in quanto capita anche con l'hd collegato direttamente alla usb.

Non è che il disco in rete è contemporaneamente utilizzato per il download (tipo Torrent o mulo)?

Ho voluto testare il mio per capire meglio.
Se abilito il download Torrent sul disco di rete i film sul televisore non si avviano ...

Quanto al ritardo audio è una novità assoluta che non riesco a riprodurre ...

niente download in contemporanea... Ieri però ho fatto il mount del pc e accade la stessa cosa con gli stessi film, quindi escluderei che il problema sia l'hd. Per quanto riguarda il ritardo audio, sono alla ricerca di un programma che converta il divx da 5 canali a 2 per verificare che il problema sia effettivamente quello.

Ciao, ti consiglio di fare anche gli aggiornamenti intermedi (almeno il 3.25) perchè il 3.28 alcune cose non le aggiorna.

mi sono appena registrato e volevo fare i complimenti a tutto il forum per il servizio offerto.
Sono 2 giorni che spulcio questa discussione alla ricerca disperata dei setting.
Ho trovato nei post 413 e 479 quelli del mitico revenge72 per la visione "night", ma nulla per la visione "day" neanche con il tasto "cerca".
Sono io che dopo quasi 100 pagine mi sono rimbambito o la calibrazione day non è stata postata?
Se è stata postata potete per favore indicarmi il numero del post?
