Volevo avvertirti di un pericolo potenziale: non installare su quella
mainboard la scheda sat SS2 (skystar della technisat). Molti purtroppo hanno irrimediabilmete bruciato la Asus!

We know, that many PCI cards make problems with the new nforce4 chip. Many Audio sound cards and Tv DVB-T cards make problems, because they are not right compatibel to this chip. Ask plz the manufactor for the Tv card, if they know there problems with nforce 4 chip.
Plz update bios to 1009, try it, maybe it work better. Bios is inclosed.
Collegue has the card Airstar 2 from technisat, this card will work!Try the cards from technisat!! Will work better.
Plz use only 6.53 nvidia driver.

Quindi il problema di incompatibilità del chip NF4 con qualche scheda PCI è conosciuto dalla Asus. Hanno consigliato un upgrade del bios, ma non ha dato i risultati sperati.

it seems, that the Asus A8N series mainboards have problems with the TechniSat DVB-PC TV Stars devices and you cannot install the drivers to the system. We know this problem and we are currently analyzing this behaviour of your hardware/software in combination with the nVidia nForce 4 chipset.
Currently we cannot provide any solution for your problem.

Comunque non tutte le schede madri NF4 sono incompatibili. Purtroppo la tua sicuramente!
