Moreover, a chunkier heat sink allows the amplifier to dissipate more energy and run cooler than before, meaning the amplifier can operate harder, for longer.
The Azur 640A V2's sensitive preamp circuitry has also been significantly redesigned, generating lower noise and THD (total harmonic distortion), while delivering greater levels of transparency. At the heart of these enhancements is a completely new input PCB with buffering on every input which has radically reduced crosstalk and provides even better imaging characteristics.
The Azur 640A also sees improvements to the power amplifier circuitry layout, with many small but significant refinements further reducing distortion and improving the drive capability with real world speakers.
