The DVB-T2 Validation and Verification (V&V) group, coordinated by the
Technical Module TM-T2 working group, completed a very successful Plug
Fest at the RAI Research Centre in Turin last week. DVB-T2, currently
available as DVB BlueBook A122r1, will be published as a formal standard
by ETSI later this year. The aim of the Plug Fest was to validate the
DVB-T2 specification through the interoperability of independent hardware
implementations - and this goal was certainly achieved.

In the Plug Fest there were 6 DVB-T2 Modulators (DekTec, Rhode&Schwarz,
ENENSYS Technologies, TeamCast, BBC, SSBT) and 5 Demodulators (DekTec,
SIDSA, Panasonic, Sony, BBC). Interoperability was tested for several
modes of the DVB-T2 specification.

RAI is currently transmitting test DVB-T2 signals from a tower 5km distant
from the RAI Research Centre. The test signals carry 4 HD streams in a
single-PLP mode (256QAM, rate 3/4 FEC) at a total bit rate of 45Mbit/s.
These T2 transmissions were successfully received by four
demodulators/receivers.

I test DVB-T2 vengono fatti a Torino sul ch 29V ,che a breve si dovrebbe spostare sul 36V

Nel test ne hanno comunque mandati 4, con 45 mbit/s in totale. Chissà se il sistema permette un'allocazione dinamica del bitrate su tutti gli stream assieme, oppure ogni stream ha il suo bitrate variabile tra un massimo o un minimo, ma con i massimi pre-allocati, quindi 11,25 mbit/s per ciascuno in questo caso, che non è pessimo, ma non è neanche tanto, soprattutto se si parla di 1080p.

Non credo si punti ai 1080p; praticamente tutti i decoder satellitari (anche dvb-s2) consentono max 1080i, così come i canali HD sono praticamente tutti a 1080i. Non vedo perché per il DTT si dovrebbe fare una scelta di tipo diverso. Non "sprecheranno" tutta questa banda per un solo canale. IMHO ovviamente.

A quando lo standard ufficiale?

Penso che tutti coloro che stanno comprando un decoder DTT HD attualmente non servirà poi a prendere le trasmissioni regolari DTT HD in Italia, dato che sospetto che partiranno solamente quando verrà standardizzato il sistema DVB-T2: qualcuno di voi ha una idea di quando verrà finalmente reso standard ufficiale?

speriamo entro breve così inizieremo a vedere sul mercato decoder dvb-t2 e allora si che varrà la pena sostenere la spesa

edit: trovata la road-map ufficiale del DVB-T2, a quanto pare lo standard finale dovrebbe essere approvato a settembre 2009, speriamo bene!!

Quindi un Sony lcd con decoder Hd potrebbe non funzionare con qst standard??

Nessuno dei tv attualmente in commercio è compatibile con il nuovo standard (che deve ancora essere approvato come si evince dalla tabella).
In autunno penso invece potrebbero uscire (salvo complicazioni dell'ultim'ora) i primi decoder compatibili..

dipende dalle necessità... se ti serve una TV oggi prendila e basta e fra un anno prenderai un decoder DVB-T2... se puoi aspettare aspetta
