Gli hd-dvd non sono molti e sono anche piuttosto cari, però aggrega dischi prodotti in diverse nazioni, quindi si trova anche roba che su amazon non c'è.

Io non ho ancora acquistato niente, quindi non posso dare giudizi sulla qualità del servizio, se qualcuno ha avuto esperienze, posti pure :)

Avevi ragione sul fatto che è questione di gusti.. ho visto l'HD DVD di Letters from Iwo Jima stasera e a me è piaciuto moltissimo. La scelta dei colori desaturati secondo me era perfetta. Se avessero usato colori saturi secondo me avrebbe stonato con il tono del film. E tale scelta non toglie eccessivamente profondità all'immagine. Anzi ogni primo piano di Watanabe era uno spettacolo di intensità e dettagli espressivi. Bravo Eastwood come al solito.

Certo il miglior direttore della fotografia vivente secondo me rimane Robert Richardson, di cui ho apprezzato in HD DVD il magnifico lavoro in The Good Shepard qualche giorno fa. Ogni fotogramma una pura scultura di luce. Non vedo l'ora di rivedere tutti i suoi film in HD.
 
Paramount Home Entertainment ha annunciato che L'HD DVD di 'Face/Off (Special Collector's Edition)', in due 2 dischi, uscirà l'11 Settembre. Must Buy!:D

The Hunt For Red October è uno dei miei film preferiti di tutti i tempi, non vedo l'ora di vederlo in HD!
 
a leggere tutti questi titoli soffro da morire!
mi sto mangiando le mani dalla voglia!
per fortuna non ho ancora preso il vpr full hd altrimenti sarei impazzito!
 
Comunque credo che con pazienza (magari con alcuni titoli con MOLTA pazienza) prima o poiu usciranno tutti anche da noi :(

Mah,questo non lo so...tutto questo mi ricorda la situazione dei laserdisc di meta' anni novanta,aspettando aspettando se volevi un'edizione fatta come Dio comanda dovevi comunque acquistarla made in USA.
 
Ma correggimi se sbaglio, su alcuni titoli non è risultato migliore il film venduto in Italia che quello in Usa?
 
Non saprei,se possiedo un titolo versione USA in genere non lo riacquisto in italiano.Pero' a livello di quantita' di uscite dubito che a breve scadenza il mercato italiano sia cosi' ricettivo da giustificare un'ondata di uscite in HD.Nell'ultimo mese sono stato sia in Francia che in Spagna,e rispetto a noi sono cosi' avanti da avere interi scaffali di software in HD nella loro lingua.
 
Discovery Channel Atlas

Mi sono finalmente arrivati i due hd-dvd della serie atlas "Italy" e "Brasil". Confermo la compatibilità con il lettore della 360. Ad una prima occhiata mi sembrano di ottima qualità e stasera me li guarderò con più attenzione. Unico appunto, mancano i sottotitoli, anche in inglese, per cui chi come me mastica poco la lingua anglosassone potrebbe essere un piccolo neo, comunque compensato dal comparto video, veramente all'altezza. Il mio riferimento assoluto rimane comunque Planeth Earth, veramente una pietra miliare dell'alta definizione.
