Scheda madre: Asus M3A78-EHM HDMI €75 iva inclusa
o altre con il nuovo chipset integrato Amd 780G, ideale per l'alta definizione senza avere un processore potentissimo o una scheda video aggiuntiva

Processore: ATHLON 64 X2 4850E 2.5ghz 45W €75 iva inclusa
è il nuovo Amd a basso consumo, dovrebbe essere disponibile da aprile

Se puoi ancora soprassedere all'acquisto, motherboard ASUS M3N78-EMH, uscite hdmi, dvi e vga, n1080p. hdcp con o eaccelerazione hardware dei contenuti hd.
Veicolazione di streaming digitale dolbytrueHD e DTSHD.
Prezzo 71 euro ivato.

Attento, multi-channel LPCM (come da specifica HDMI 1.1) non Dolby TrueHD e DTSHD !!!
Ci deve pensare il pc a convertire il flusso Dolby o DTS HD in LPCM, queste schede non fanno bitstream in HDMI 1.3.

Più economiche?
Sì, ci sono, risparmi 5-10 euro e devi spenderne almeno 50 per avere una scheda video con il pieno supporto HD.
Il tuo discorso è valido per un htpc "ibrido", ossia per vederci i video e per giocarci a buon livello, e in quest'ultimo caso i chipset gpu integrati sono deboli in prestazioni.
Ma se l'uso è prettamente htpc non conviene il discorso dei 2 pezzi separati, almeno non più ormai, con queste ultime mobo con tutto integrato.
Eppoi, delle due cose bisogna decidersi:
vuoi giocarci: pc no compromise, cpu potenti con assorbimenti consistenti, ventole che frullano a palla, scehde video altrettanto e case iperventilati.
vuoi vedere i film: pc silenziosi, poche ventole tutte che girano mooooolto piano.
I vari cul'end'quaiet risolvono molto parzialmente il problema dei consumi e del rumore.
Inoltre, per esperienze passate da molti forumer, quando una cpu sta bella tranquilla e improvvisamente necessita di una spintarella in più, quel microsecondo di ritardo ci scappa (il tempo di tirare su vcore e moltiplicatori) e i microscatti in visione pure.

Vero, ma tu conosci tv o ampli di prezzo "terrestre" che accettano il flusso hdmi 1.3 da hdmi, ma che soprattutto lo sfruttino sia per la parte audio hd che per la parte profondità colore a 12 bit?

Oppure, quando tali apparati saranno alla portata di molte tasche, pensiamo che non ci sia anche da pensare al displayport che sostituirà hdmi?

E poi, se io avessi i soldi per comprarmi un megatv con hdmi 1.3 o un ampli denon/yamaha ultima generazione da qualche migliaio di euro che lo supporti appieno (flussi hd con tanto di 12 bit di profondità colore), mi vado a sbattere i m@r..i a configurare un htpc invece di prendermi un lettore dvd denon 3930 e un bel blue-ray della sony bello che pronto?

Sono un fesso e non me ne sono accorto, davvero.

Poi, oh, ognuno fà quello che vuole e non faccio conti in tasca a nessuno.

ok, a parte che il "fesso" era riferito in maniera non offensiva per nessuno, ma riferito a me e comunque per dire "non badiamo troppo alle amenità che ci propinano giorno dopo giorno ma vediamo di badare al sodo", caqpisco anche che potevo essere frainteso e chiedo scusa se qualcuno si sia offeso.
