Siamo sicuri che "UI build" rappresenti l'effetiva versione della app? UI credo stia per "user inferface"...
Detto che "versione software" si riferisce al fw del VT e su questo non ci piove, a cosa si riferiscono "versione Netflix" e "versione SDK"?? Queste non cambiano mai?

Non vorrei che "UI build" cambi quasi giornalmente semplicemente a fronte dell'aggiornamento del catalogo...

Se ti può consolare anche sul bdp s790 nessun aggiornamento, risulta ancora la prima build di ottobre.

io ho quella a fosfori verdi . anche se devo dire la qualità di riproduzione è impressionante per essere uno streaming.

SDK si riferisce senz'altro alle API quindi alle librerie di interfaccia tra la App e i server di NetFlix e agli strumenti a disposizione dell'applicazione. Il fatto che la mia dica 2012.1.12 è abbastanza indicativo.

Ti dà quella data nella versione SDK? No, perchè nella mia è "sdk 4.0.4-release-2034013"..... che razza di data sarebbe il 03 Gennaio del 2034.... è vent'anni avanti?

La stessa identica stringa sotto Versione Netflix è comune anche ad altre TV tipo Sony e LG probabilmente è la versione remota dell'interfaccia, di conseguenza Build UI dovrebbe essere la versione locale.

Una cosa che manca su av-magazine è la possibilità di ogni utente di indicare i prodotti in suo possesso per consentire ad altri di potere fare delle domande specifiche. il forum è troppo dispersivo.
In un portale del genere sarebbe una funzionalità importante, per esempio vorrei sapere quale versione c'è a bordo del Panasonic BDT-370 ma non so a chi chiedere, solo con Amazon si può fare almeno a chi l'ha comprato li.
ora questo modello è su un altro negozio (ricondizionato) a 92€, sarebbe un affare. parliamo quasi del modello top di gamma.

There is the non-technical, intuitive belief that 24p content should exit the player at 24 frames per second and the monitor should have a refresh rate of 24Hz as well, and if these two requirements aren't met then surely there must be unwanted artifacts created in the video cadence (motion smoothness).
This is wrong.
It is settled science that it's best to simply have the player output at 60Hz, the monitor refresh at 60Hz, and let the monitor handle the pulldown so the original 24p is preserved and everything looks the way it should, i.e. 24p. True 24p, not interpolated or missing frames or something fishy every two seconds or judder or jitter or any of the other gremlins these video geek forums have conjured to keep the argument afloat.
I know that for non-technical people (or worse, non-technical people who see themselves as being quite technical-minded), the 24 in/out approach just feels right, and anything else has to be less good. Why monkey with the frames if you don't have to, goes the thinking.
Except when you actually set a system up this way, with the Plex box and the monitor set for 24Hz refresh rate. Then everything else goes to hell - the UI is now sluggish and flickery, the mouse cursor lags behind user input, and everything feels slow and wrong. 24p video looks fine, but it looks exactly the same as it does when both player and monitor are set for 60Hz. Everything else in the Plex experience suffers. You don't want to look at an LCD or plasma screen set for a 24Hz refresh rate, it flickers like crazy and slows the UI down to a frustrating level. Try going into your PC monitor settings and lower the refresh rate below 60Hz, or 50Hz if that's your country's AC line frequency. Like what you see? That's what you're wishing for when you complain that Apple TV or Plex or any other media player doesn't output "true" 24p. They do. They just do it at 60Hz so their UI looks and feels fast and fluid, and your TV sorts 24p content at its end.
So we let the Plex box, or the Apple TV, output at 60Hz, and likewise the TV. The TV recognizes 24p content because it's a lot smarter than you, and it applies the proper pulldown so 24p is presented properly. No stutter, judder, missing frames, extra frames, no degradation at all. Nathaniel is exactly correct when he notes that people who see video artifacts with a setup like this usually have their TV's hideous motion-smoothing circuit turned on, in which case all bets are off. Turn all motion-smoothing, noise reduction, etc. gewgaws off in the TV menu and let the 60-to-24 pulldown happen as intended, and you will see perfectly smooth, artifact free 24p every time.
I am a realistic man and have no illusions that this or any other post on a video geek forum will settle this issue one iota. It just needs to be restated every now and then for the few people who might learn something from it and stop worrying about non-issues. This is a non-issue. Your cranked saturation and grey blacks? Those are issues you should fix to make movies look as intended. Sharpness cranked all the way because you paid $$$ for this TV and you want all the detail it can deliver dammit? That you should correct.
Worrying about 24p looking right with the new Apple TV? Do yourself a favor and move on. Because video forum geeks continue to argue about it doesn't mean it's a thing. It isn't a thing.""

la mia considerazione è questa:

il tizio non sa ad esempio che sui Plasma Panasonic quando setti il True 24P il monitor va a 96 hZ (24x3) quindi non c'è nessun flickering e soprattutto che nelle tv europee non c'è nessuna funzione di IVTC cioè di recupero del 24p partendo dal 60 HZ interlacciato che propone Netflix (tranne alcuni Pioneer)

forse la cosa può avere una qualche fondatezza se siamo in un paese ntsc i cui tv sono già predisposti per ricevere contenuti a 60 hz (per esempio dal atsc, il digitale terreste USA) e quindi applicano (forse) l'ivtc (inverse telecine) ma non qui in Europa e tutti i paesi PAL non è vero. il 60 HZ di Netflix noi lo vediamo con il 3:2 pulldown ovvero con il judder, pur accettabile ma non come un Blu Ray. su questo non ci sono discussioni anche con noi povere scimmie

Comunque red, devo sottolineare un fatto: tramite app del VT, sui contenuti a 60Hz, faccio fatica a notare palesi differenze col 24p. Ieri durante "Inside man" c'è stata una carrellata che non finiva mai: perfetta, nessuno microscatto indesiderato, anomalo, nulla, movimento a mitraglia regolare come fosse 24p reale.
Non chiedermi perché ma così è....

da questa recensione sembrerebbe che il Blu Ray Panasonic gestiscano il 24p per i contenuti NetFlix.

Si tratta però di una recensione vecchia quindi so se questa sia confermato anche per i modelli più recenti o se NetFlix semplicemente distribuisca ora i contenuti..........[CUT]

Chissà come si comporta il mio Panasonic DMP-BDT700, che è più recente di VT/ZT, uscito un anno dopo, in particolare se andrebbe meglio nella gestione dei contenuti Netflix a 24fps o da 60i a 24p (film/serie-tv) ?!?

Probabilmente perché se la fonte è corretta, il VT è in grado di fare un buon telecine da materiale filmico a 60hz, non so se in questo la serie ST60 si comporta allo stesso modo..? la serie GT60 dovrebbe avere più o meno le stessa elettronica della serie VT se ricordo bene..
