Please beware of one issue: This player absolutely cannot produce analog audio sound while playing a BluRay disc. If you have an older stereo system without digital inputs, you'll find that you it will produce sound from CD audio or DVDs, but not BluRay.
This unit also requires that you disable HDMI audio on the HDMI cable going to your TV in order to output audio to either digital audio or analog audio outputs.
I checked out my connections with a DVD and everything worked fine. I rented my first BluRay disc - Crazy Heart, which features a lot of music, and: dead silence. I was forced to listed through the tiny internal speakers in my Panasonic plasma.
I called Panasonic support, and they confirmed that the BDT-110, BDT-210, BDT-215, and BDT-310 will not decode BluRay sound to analog. The only way to do it would be to purchase a digital-to-analog converter, for approximately $90.
I returned the Panasonic, and bought a Sony 3D BluRay player. Analog sound is simple, just make the connection to your analog stereo, and anything the Sony can play will output analog sound. You also don't have to disable HDMI audio going to the TV, so you can hear sound from both.
Non ci credo!
