Informo che qualche giorno fa (il 13 scorso) la Qnap ha rilasciato il nuovo firm 3.6 (build 210), versione definitiva annunciato in beta nel post 376 di un mese fa, che ho appena installato.

E' stato inoltre rilasciato il nuovo QPKG di Mldonkey, versione 3.10. Per scaricarlo con facilità basta premere nella schermata QPKG il tasto "check for update". Comparirà un link di upgrade e per il resto il Qnap farà tutto da solo.

In generale tutta la sezione QPKG è stata rinnovata, come precisato nel log, ed è ora disponibile una schermata "interna" ed aggiornata con tutti i programmi installabili sul dispositivo di cui si è in possesso, completi di una breve legenda.
Inoltre ho notato che l'aver reso disponibile sia sul 119 (monchip Marwell 1.2 Ghz) che sul 459 Pro II (Atom 1.8 dual core) l'ultima versione di Twonky Server non in versione QPKG di app da installare ma tornando alla vecchia implementazione contenuta nel firmware nel mio caso ha drasticamente diminuito l'uso medio delle CPU. Da quando era stato rilasciato il QPKG (evidentemente mal implementato) il solo Twonky Server faceva incomprensibilmente salire l'uso medio della CPU anche al 90%; ora è sceso ad un livello inferiore al 10%: questo sia nel caso del Qnap single core Marvell che del dual core Intel.
Qualcuno di noi usa il QPKG Plex Media Server release 0.9.3.5 b3 del 17 gennaio scorso su Intel X86? (Mi rivolgo a mares, MDL, obiwankenobi ed altri...)

E' utile? Lo usate "liscio" o con myplex? E' meglio installare l'ultima release rilasciata da Qnap 0.9.3.5-b3 o la più aggionrata 0.9.5.2-7a che si scarica grazie al link che ho messo in prima pagina? Sul forum Qnap, infatti, un tipo sostiene: "Just ignored the QNAP version, and downloaded directly from Plex. No problems."
