Onkyo 875 EU [Nuovo Firmware]

a me dovrebbe arrivare domani il modello 875. da dove si vede il numero di versione del firmware? qual'è la versione vecchia e quale quella nuova? ci sono possibilità che sia già aggiornato? altrimenti quando dovrebbe uscire il nuovo firmware?

Intanto dalla confezione; infatti su avsforum dicono che i modelli aggiornati dalla Onkyo hanno una bella P in fondo:

Just received a note from Onkyo Europe, that all models carrying identifieres (letters) equal or higher than "P" are already equipped with the complete update as stated in the latest Onkyo Service Information 5/2007 dated October 25th 2007.

According to Onkyo service rep you can check firmware version by pressing the 'display' button for 5 seconds then press standby/on and hold both. The firmware version will show for about 2 seconds. My FW is 1.01 07613A which seems more current than some at 1.00 075***

Onkyo Europe ha fatto sapere che i modelli con lettere identificativa maggiore o uguale a "P" sono già patchati con l'ultima release di firmware 1.05 o superiore come è scritto nel Onkyo Service Information 5/2007 dated October 25th 2007.

Sicuro che il firmware aggiornato debba essere 1.05 ?

Nel post di Roboante sembrerebbe che il firmware recente sia 1.01 07613A.

Anch'io poi non ho capito dove viene indicata la P che indica il prodotto aggiornato......

La P immagino (non l'ho ancora acquistato) si trovi nel nome del prodotto: che so un Onkyo 875P (o lettera superiore) da qualche parte sulla scatola. (Mi ricordo che con la PSP o sul NDS c'èa un codice analogo che indica il firmware montato onboard)

Le macchine aggiornate sono già in circolazione: infatti qui sul forum qualcuno ha ricevuto un 905 con firmware aggiornato (acquistato online mi pare).

Ciò non toglie che esistano in commercio pezzi con il vecchio hardware: dunque è d'obbligo verificare lo stesso prima di procedere all'acquisto.

edit!!! Della serie non sono capace di leggere:

The latest builts of the European 905 now have the letter "P" stamped on the box close to the serial number to indicate, that they have been updated already by the manufacturer as been indicated by several users, who received their units yesterday.

Dunque la P si trova vicino al numero seriale....

L'ultimo firmware disponibile è l'1.05, in quel post l'utente si riferiva al suo firmware prima dell'aggiornamento; il mio 875 ad esempio ha il firmware 1.02

Allora... sono stato al telefono per una buona ventina di minuti con il responsabile italia di onkyo; quello che è successo ha dell'incredibile perchè è stato lui a ringraziarmi dicendo che non aveva nemmeno idea che questo fatidico aggiornamento firmware esistesse, a detta sua hanno talmente tanti problemi a reperire gli amplificatori che non si sono curati di questa faccenda.
In ogni caso è stato gentilissimo e mi ha assicurato che oggi si sarebbe messo in contatto con chi di dovere per sistemare la situazione e fare un po' di chiarezza anche per i nostri poveri prodotti italiani.
Non appena avrò novità vi farò da portavoce.

*UPDATE* Chiunque abbia un Onkyo 875/905 con garanzia italiana e sta in zona Milano mi contatti via PM che gli fornisco i contatti necessari per fare l'upgrade del firmware, che pare sia finalmente disponibile.

cmq il firmware 1.05 è relativo al 905 mentre per l'875 è il 1.04 almeno cosi si è espresso un utente su avsforums

Su un forum ho trovato il dettaglio degli aggiornamenti al REON presenti in questo upgrade:

Inoltre ci sono alcuni Tips per vedere info come la temperatura/versione firmware/reset della macchina:

To reset the receiver:

To reset the AV receiver to its factory defaults, turn it on and, while holding down the [VCR/DVR] button, press the [STANDBY/ON] button. “Clear” will appear on the display and the AV receiver will enter Standby mode. Note that resetting the AV receiver will delete your radio presets and custom settings

To get firmware info (particularly for non-networked receivers):

Turn the receiver on and, while holding down the [DISPLAY] button, press the [STANDBY/ON] button. Release both buttons. MAIN page of firmware info will be displayed. Press either the [>] or [<> button below the [TONE] button in order to display the second page. Continue to press either the ">" or "<" button in order to step forward or backward through the six pages of firmware info. If you subsequently press the "Display" button while viewing any of the firmware pages (other than the "MAIN" firmware page), further info is displayed pertaining to that firmware page. Continue to press the display button in order to step through several pages of additional info (no additional info for MAIN page, four additional pages for each DSP page, one additional page for HDMI page, and three additional pages for VIDEO page). Once this additional info is accessed, the display will NOT revert back if you wait too long between button presses. Also, the third page of addtional info for the VIDEO firmware page displays the OSD level. This level will not be shown on the display itself but will show up on attached TV.

To get temperature info:

Turn the receiver on and, while holding down the [DISPLAY] button, press the [STANDBY/ON] button. Release both buttons then press [TONE]. Temperature info will stay on until a function change is initiated.

I have also found that by pressing [SETUP] after the [DISPLAY][STANDBY/ON] sequence will display some sort of maximum temperature information and what appears to be total running time clock?? It can be reset by pressing [RETURN].

To get input and output video resolution info:

Hold down just the [DISPLAY] button (on the front panel) for about 2 seconds, and the input and output resolution is shown.

Da quello che mi è stato detto, oltra ad applicare l'aggiornamento firmware, va anche rimosso un condensatore; operazione che se non viene fatta in un centro assistenza autorizzato annulla di fatto la garanzia.

Non credo che le prime tre cifre del numero seriale identifichino il firmware, il seriale del mio 875 ad esempio inizia con 178 eppure monta il firmware 1.02; il seriale però finisce con una K, quindi antecedente alla P.
