[BD] Lost - La serie TV - Stagioni 1-6

apro questo thread dato che non ne ho trovato uno in merito
Ho appena ordinato la prima stagione da thehut,
ricordo che le prime 5 stagioni in UK hanno tutte la lingua italiana e che solo la 5a stagione è stata pubblicata in Italia.
Dato che non ho mai visto un solo episodio, vorrei qualche commento sulla qualità artistica della serie e anche sulle qualità audio e video e sugli extra dei vari cofanetti. Inoltre vorrei sapere se vi sono notizie sulla pubblicazione in Italia delel prime 4 stagioni e della sesta, di prossima uscita in UK (conterrà mica l'italiano?? non si sa ancora oppure non è presente nella lista di Jimbo perchè l'italiano sarà assente??)

Manca solo il thread della terza stagione, e quello ovviamente della sesta non essendo ancora uscita, non so se val la pena di rinominare questo thread in modo da renderlo ufficiale per la Season Finale

Provo con il giudizio artistico, non avendo visto ancora la sesta:

Season 1: 12
Season 2: 10
Season 3: 8
Season 4: 6
Season 5: 7

Ho sentito molti commenti negativi sulla sesta serie e sul finale...ovviamente non mi sono spoilerato, ma la delusione tra quelli che conosco é tanta

Ovviamente vi prego di non scrivere NULLA se avete già visto in qualche modo la sesta stagione

A me il finale è piaciuto parecchio, cmq sì, confermo che ha diviso molto il pubblico.... come era previsto che facesse
In un modo o nell'altro farà parlare per molto tempo.

Speriamo comunque che questa sesta stagione sia in linea con le precedenti sul piano della qualità tecnica.

A mio parere non si possono valutare separatamente perchè, a differenza dei soliti telefilm, sono troppo collegate tra loro e la storia è praticamente una sola, quindi analizzare e valutare ogni singola stagione è troppo riduttivo. Anche la sesta, oggetto di molte critiche negative, secondo me è straordinaria: vengono ripresi molti misteri seminati nelle prime stagioni e ovviamente svelati; forse per questa ragione lascia un po' d'amaro in bocca ma la fine doveva arrivare per forza prima o poi...

Si Roberto, hai sicuramente ragione soprattutto perché se uno iniziasse a vedere la serie dalla quarta stagione ad esempio non capirebbe nulla...però consentimi di dire che il piano narrativo a partire dalla terza (sicuramente dalla quarta) stagione é cambiato totalmente...imho preferivo di gran lunga le prime stagioni, sto rivedendo in questo periodo la seconda e nonostante le sappia quasi a memoria sono ancora un gran bel vedere...dalla quarta stagione si é rotto imho qualcosa, che si é parzialmente ricomposto nella quinta, ma solo parzialmente

Comunque sono molto curioso di vedere la sesta e sto aspettando con impazienza agosto per gustarmi i BD

Senza spoilerare (of course) direi che la sesta stagione dal punto di vista della qualità dell'immagine mi é sembrata (specie negli ultimi episodi) migliorata, più tridimensionale (in ciò aiutata dalle splendide location)...

Buona final season a tutti (ma sarà finita? Si vocifera di un "eventuale" film per il cinema...) !

Imho tre stagioni erano piu' che sufficienti.
Hanno messo tanta di quella carne al fuoco che alla fine erano consapevoli di non poter rispondere a tutte le domande.
Tuttavia il finale a me e' piaciuto,e soprattutto a detta degli autori non e' mai stato modificato dall'idea iniziale.

Considera poi che é inimmaginabile pensare ad una serie già in partenza così complessa...perché é il Network che decide se andare oltre la prima stagione (addirittura oltre l'epidodio Pilota) quindi é inevitabile che gli autori modifichino la trama e "allunghino il brodo" in caso di successo del pubblico, di ascolti elevati e quindi del Network entusiasta della serie

Posto un estratto particolarmente interessante riguardo il finale...


A lot of people have been talking about Ben and why he didn't go into the Church. And if you think of Sideways world in this way, then it gives you the answer to that very question. Ben can't move on yet because he hasn't connected with the people he needs to. It's going to be his job to awaken Roussou, Alex, Anna Lucia (maybe), Ethan, Goodspeed, his father and the rest. He has to attone for his sins more than he did by being Hurley's number two. He has to do what Hurley and Desmond did for our Lostaways with his own people. He has to help them connect. And he can only move on when all the links in his chain are ready to. Same can be said for Faraday, Charlotte, Whidmore, Hawkins etc. It's really a neat, and cool concept. At least to me.

But, from a more "behind the scenes" note: the reason Ben's not in the church, and the reason no one is in the church but for Season 1 people is because they wrote the ending to the show after writing the pilot. And never changed it. The writers always said (and many didn't believe them) that they knew their ending from the very first episode. I applaud them for that. It's pretty fantastic. Originally Ben was supposed to have a 3 episode arc and be done. But he became a big part of the show. They could have easily changed their ending and put him in the church -- but instead they problem solved it. Gave him a BRILLIANT moment with Locke outside the church ... and then that was it. I loved that. For those that wonder -- the original ending started the moment Jack walked into the church and touches the casket to Jack closing his eyes as the other plane flies away. That was always JJ's ending. And they kept it.

For me the ending of this show means a lot. Not only because I worked on it, but because as a writer it inspired me in a way the medium had never done before. I've been inspired to write by great films. Maybe too many to count. And there have been amazing TV shows that I've loved (X-Files, 24, Sopranos, countless 1/2 hour shows). But none did what LOST did for me. None showed me that you could take huge risks (writing a show about faith for network TV) and stick to your creative guns and STILL please the audience. I learned a lot from the show as a writer. I learned even more from being around the incredible writers, producers, PAs, interns and everyone else who slaved on the show for 6 years.

In the end, for me, LOST was a touchstone show that dealt with faith, the afterlife, and all these big, spirtual questions that most shows don't touch. And to me, they never once waivered from their core story -- even with all the sci-fi elements they mixed in. To walk that long and daunting of a creative tightrope and survive is simply astounding.
