Philips mi ha inviato il codice sorgente per questo modello su mia richiesta, come da licenza open source.

Our primary method of making source code available is as a download because it is faster and greener. If you prefer to receive a CD (as you are entitled to under some of the licenses involved), please let me know (and if so please provide an address), and we will gladly send you a CD (free of charge).


With respect to the content of the source code package, it is limited to the software which is released under an open source license. It will allow you to inspect the source code, scripts, and, if applicable, any amendments, but it is not accompanied by compilation tooling. Please do not expect to be able to regenerate and download the full firmware image using this source code. Due to a number of reasons, Philips is not releasing all data and code necessary to fully regenerate the firmware (and the open source licenses involved do not require us to do so).

Molto gentili a rispondere dopo il secondo sollecito, ma mi pare di capire che il codice può essere solo letto, senza possibilità di apportare modifiche (tipo fare in modo che l'audio DTS diventi passthrough come per altre TV, visto che si tratta solo di un problema di licenze concesse o meno da "DTS"..., o aggiungere dei menu' specifici alla pagina principale del menu, tipo lo spegnimento automatico.)

Questo perché non forniscono (non sono obbligati) i programmi per ricompilare il codice sorgente.

Qualche utente esperto sarebbe in grado di ricompilare il tutto? A chi interessa la cosa?

Ciao, anche a me interesserebbe compilare il codice ma non avrei la minima idea di come fare... so che il codice è compilato con il toolchain MontaVista (almeno per la PFL9703 è così) ma non so ne se per gli altri modelli è così e neppure ho il codice della mia TV al momento (ho una 32PFL7695H). So inoltre che il firmware è possibile caricarlo o da USB o con la presa Jack dietro alla TV (non è altro che un'interfaccia seriale). Se trovi qualcosa fammi sapere che sono interessato anche io a modificare qualcosa nel codice.
