s It Worth To Pay 1K$ More For Sony Hw50Es? (Vs Epson9100)
Hello friends
I will buy my first projector next week.
In our country both of projector comes with 2 year warranty and no extra spare lamp.
They come with pair of 3d glasses. Epson 9100 doesnt have THX Mode in european units.
Sony Hw50es: 4000 $
Epson 5020: 3000 $
My screen is 106 inc (diagonal) grandview matte white and viewing distance is 12-13 feet. Room has grey matt walls and black ceiling.
I will use my home theater for %70 2d bluray movies %20 3d bluray movies and %10 HDTV sport.
My concern is picture quality.
So my friends what do you suggest for me?
Kind Regards
ps: Sorry I cant speak Italian langualange

Hi, lots of questions should be asked to let me suggest what the best option for you should be, as every situation is unique, (which is by far the main reason why I don't usually take part in this forum XD), but aside from my attitude, have you considered buying the JVC X55, though in your Country (USA, right?), is more expensive than Sony's.

It's kinda hard to answer your questions without knowing exactly what you're looking for... did you try comparing the two projectors side by side at a local store? I would have suggested the JVC too, but if it's not available in Turkey it's probably not a good idea to just buy it without trying it first... Personally, I like the epson very much; the Sony sure has a bit more of picture quality, but it's hard to tell if it's really "1k$ better", mostly because it's hard to tell how much 1k$ is worth to you...
My suggestion anyway is to try them side by side, possibly in your room...Proiettore: Sony VPL-HW40ES; TV: Panasonic TX-P55ST50E; Sintoampli MCH: Anthem MRX-300; Integrato stereo: Audio Analogue Fortissimo; Lettore BRD:PlayStation 4; Frontali: Focal Chorus 816W; Centrale: Focal Chorus CC800V; Surround: Focal Chrous 705V; Sub: Sunfire HRS12
