PR250B was Thule Audio's first-generation combined pre-amplifier and surround processor, yet it still continues to receive excellent reviews all over the world, outperforming both stereo and surround competitors costing several times more.
The PR250B features up to six output channels and can process all the standard decoding formats: DTS, Dolby Digital and Dolby ProLogic.
Digital processing is based on the renowned Motorola DSP56362 chip with 100MIPS and also includes Burr Brown PCM1716 24bit/96kHz D/A converters.
The PR250B is also a high-end balanced pre-amplifier, possessing many of the same sound qualities of the flagship PR350B. By using the Pure Audio input, all analogue signals bypass the DSP directly to the volume control for a short untainted signal path. It has a 2-channel Pure Audio input e.g. for a DVD-Audio player, or a two-channel balanced input for use with e.g. a CD150B player upgraded with our DIGIT II 24-bit/192kHz upsampling board.
Easy useability is ensured through the enclosed standard remote control or the new optional intelligent multi-unit remote controller RC250.
PR250B offers high quality S-video and composite video switching with On Screen Display.
In accordance with Thule Audio's views on upgradeability and recycling, all PR250B owners have a standing offer of upgrading to a PR350B when they feel in need of the extended feature range. Please contact your national distributor for further information.
