Dolby Laboratories Unveils Dolby Pro Logic IIx

Technology provides up to 7.1 channels
for stereo and 5.1-channel content

Indianapolis, September 2, 2003—Expanding upon its tradition of leadership in providing enhanced surround sound listening experiences, Dolby Laboratories has announced the introduction of Dolby® Pro Logic® IIx technology.

Dolby Pro Logic IIx technology provides home theater enthusiasts with a solution for 7.1-channel playback of traditional stereo and 5.1-channel content, while maintaining all the richness and clarity inherent in any Dolby audio technology.

Extending the advanced matrix decoding techniques first introduced in Dolby Pro Logic II and Dolby Digital EX, Dolby Pro Logic IIx, when added to a music or movie playback source, provides the most natural and seamless surround sound experiences available.

This new Dolby technology, when incorporated into audio/video receiver and processor products, will provide home theater enthusiasts with a flexible upgrade path, allowing them to connect extra channels and speakers to their 5.1- or 6.1-channel systems in the future.

Dolby Pro Logic IIx is the first technology to offer the choice of processing traditional stereo music and movie content into a 6.1- or 7.1-channel listening experience.

Non perdo colpi....
infatti il titolo era per chi no lo sapesse ancora. Mi sembrava carino dare qualche dettaglio in piu' per far conoscere qualche intenzione delle case costruttrici. Il 2 ero felicemente a Parigi e quindi per sei giorni ho staccato la spina, nel vero senso della parola, ed ho evitato accuratamente internet ed il forum

Ps per i curiosi invece.....inviterei a visitare il sito della TAG...dopo la crisi hanno annunciato l'ottavo nano , cioe' l'ottavo canale da mettere sopra la testa e qualcosa che il Spinolo(il giovane...dalla foto almeno sembra) avrà il piacere di leggere.....

Non parlavo dell'apparecchio da te citato ma dell'argomento in genere.

Spero avrai notato i post del sottoscritto, di Michele, di Emanuele, di Stedel, di Andrea Aghemo ( per citare solo chi posta qui ), di Marco Cavallaro, per non parlare del fenomeno Denis Sbragion il cui metodo ormai sta spopolando persino tra gli appassionati degli States ...., del canadese di ETF e dello svedese di Brute Fir ( e molti altri ....... ).

Arrivera' il giorno in cui bisognera' ammettere ......., purtroppo sono quasi sicuro che nessuno dei pionieri "Hobbysti", proprio con la H maiuscola, verra' citato, pero' nessuno ci togliera' la soddisfazione di aver creduto in qualcosa criticato ma che funziona alla grande.

Ti dico solo che siamo anni luce avanti a tanti ( non tutti sia ben chiaro ) prodotti commerciali che esibiscono queste capacita' di autoeq e che in realta' sono molto limitati.

è sicuramente interessantissimo il modo in cui è implementato, però le opzioni di filtraggio che permette sono troppo limitate per ottenere un risultato veramente corretto come è possibile con i behringer.
