ciao a ttuti stavo per prendere il buon wd live quando mi e' caduto l'occhio su questo nuvo prodotto che a parità di prezzi e' superiore ( ha pure l'autoframe)

Arrivato oggi...
Molto carino e compatto, monta il processore Realtek RTD1073DD a 400Mhz, rispetto al fratello 6600 non ha ventole ed nessun alloggiamento per HD.
Prezzo molto aggressivo, circa 150 euro.
Qualitativamente sembra essere identico al 6600 (stesso Firmware)...

Il prezzo è davvero interessante.
Vedo dalle caratteristiche che rispetto al fratello maggiore cambia il chipset RTD1073DD e la SDRAM da 128mb anzichè 256.
Non sono però in grado di valutare e commentare queste differenze

Chi ne capisce di più può schiarirmi le idee?

E' possibile fare streaming di file video tramite la lan(ho un nas)?

Ce l'ho da quasi una settimana, preso in sostituzione di un wd tv live che non mi aveva convinto al 100%. Per adesso veramente soddisfatto, l'unica pecca e' che non estrae il core da una traccia in Dolby True HD che significa niente audio in alcuni file m2ts (Stranamente il core lo estrae dal DTS HD MA). Ho trovato in rete una patch, non ufficiale intendiamoci, che converte le traccie audio HD in LPCM 7.1 ma non mi fido a provarla. C'e' da sistemare sicuramente qualcosa nel firmware perche' la riproduzione a 24hz soffre di microscatti...nulla da eccepire a 1080p 60hz.

Ci sono 2 possibilità:
- Collegarsi ad un server UPnP o DNLA ed accedere all' elenco che il server riesce a elaborare, senza cover e altro..

- Collegarsi ad un server con protocollo SMB o NFS e vedere direttamente il contenuto delle cartelle e riprodurre tutti i filmati supportati.

In entrambi i casi l' interfaccia di rete è più che sufficiente a riprodurre senza scatti filmati a 1080P.

la cosa migliore e che puo fruttarei protocolli NFS/SAMBA ed essere indipendente dal DLNA il che lo rende molto piu versatile!!!

Sicuramente ho più possibilità (comprese le cover ) se utilizzo protocolli SMB o NFS, senza l' obbligo di un server UPnP o altro che limita il numero di codec riproducibili.
Aggiungo che, potendo scegliere tra SMB o NFS è preferibile utilizzare NFS, più performante rispetto a qualsiasi altro protocollo di rete.

Ho un ulteriore domanda : periferiche usb come una pendrive possono essere formattate in ext2/3?
Il popcorn a-110 me le legge senza problemi.

1. Supports the Web-Remote™
- You can use iPhone, iPod-touch or notebook PC as a remote controller
- Android phone or other smart phone also works, but the resolution may not be matched. This will be fixed soon.
- N1 should be connected to network thru Ethernet or Wi-Fi to use Web-Remote™
- Supports superb and intuitive “Cover-Art” user interface in the Web-Remote™ as well.
