Immersive announces aSimilatorTM at CEDIA Expo 2002
September 25, 2002 ORCHARD PARK, NY Immersive, Inc. announced the arrival of their all-format digital video processor with built-in DVD Video/Audio transport, called the aSimilator™. aSimilator™ is an extraordinarily flexible video processor, capable of processing both standard and high-definition signals via DVI-D, HD-SDI, SD-SDI, or Analog inputs, providing a wide range of user controlled processing options, and outputting either digitally (DVD-D) or via analog (YPrPb or RGBVH) connections. The aSimilator™ is the first home theater processor to feature HD/SD-SDI and DVI, further expanding the options available to custom installer/dealers in maintaining a pristine all-digital video playback path from the source to the display.
The aSimilator™ also allows for connections of analog component, S-Video, and composite for standard definition NTSC and PAL video signals. In addition, HDTV signals can be fed to unit, using component, HD-SDI, DVI-D, and can also accept computer resolutions up to 1600x1200 via the DVI-D input. Given its modular design, the aSimilator can be easily upgraded to accommodate other digital interfaces in the future, including DVI/HDCP and HDMI/HDCP. The built-in DVD-Video/Audio transport features a “chroma-bug” free MPEG decoder and provides playback for DVD-Audio, DVD-Video, DVD-RAM, DVD-R, Video CD, CD, CD-R, CD-RW, .WMA, and .MP3 files. Also included are Toslink and Coaxial S/PDIF outputs and a set of 5.1 Surround outputs via the 192 kHz/24-bit DACs.
“The aSimilator™ represents a new class in affordable all-digital video processing”, said Tom Strade, President and CEO of Immersive. “We’ve built the aSimilator™ to be a totally modular video processor that can scale either standard or high definition signals, all in the digital domain, and with the peace of mind knowing that as standards evolve our customers can simply upgrade the input or output modules and protect their investment”.
Immersive is targeting the aSimilator™, available in both black anodized and silver clear-coated versions, to be priced at $3,850US MSRP. A pre-production version of the aSimilator™ will be premiered at the upcoming CEDIA Expo 2002 in Minneapolis, Minn. September 27-29 (booth 308 in Hall B). Immersive will also have their new PCI Video Processing Card, the HOLO3DGRAPH™ featuring Genesis-Microchip’s (NASDAQ: GNSS) patented DCDi™ processing at the show. The HOLO3DGRAPH™ can also be seen in both Denon’s and Earthquake’s booth. Both products will be available through Immersive’s growing worldwide dealer network.

Io credo di no, forse e' un'applicazione del nuovo chip Genesis 2301. Alberto attendo di vedere l'oggetto all'opera il 19 ottobre, lo farai il miracolo?
