Finalmente un pò di chiarezza su questi titoli!

Dante is involved in the current Blu-ray remasters of GREMLINS and GREMLINS 2: THE NEW BATCH and says Amblin is making a diligent effort to see they are done justice. "One thing about Amblin is that they are extremely filmmaker-friendly," says Dante. "When your movie is put out on any sort of video system, they bring you in and you check it out, they get your opinion. They color correct it, they run things for you. They are very, very good about that. We’ve been involved quite a lot."

The Blu-ray discs will likely feature the same material from the DVD special editions, although Dante is hoping to include a popular YouTube fan film. "I think its the same edition. I did two commentaries for GREMLINS 1. I don’t have any more commentary. I’ve been trying to get this GREMLINS short done by the guy in Belgium, which he did in his basement. He built his own Gremlins and shot them on green screen going into other Warner Bros. movies. This is on YouTube. It’s really clever, they guy is really talented. I’ve been trying to get Warner’s to put this thing as an extra on the disc, but I think it may be complicated by the fact that one scene is from the movie Indiana Jones, which they don’t own. And that may be what’s killing the deal. I really think this guy’s talented and people [should] discover him, because he should do GREMLINS 3."

The Blu-Ray version of GREMLINS has been temporarily delayed, but hopefully that will mean a better version at the end of the day. "I’ve seen the transfer," says Dante. "We did them over. In fact, I think GREMLINS 1 was supposed to come out this summer because it’s the 25th anniversary, but they didn’t make the date because they said, ‘We can do better than this, we can make it look better,’ and its worth making it look better, so they’re still working on it."

Meglio così, un pò come era successo per Indiana Jones...meglio uno slittamento del prodotto finale che un uscita con un master non ottimo!
E speriamo che escano anche delle date a sto punto

Il primo lo vidi che avevo 16 anni,mitico.Del secondo francamente manco sapevo l'esistenza.

Pensate che il primo l'ho visto in un cinema a londra e al tempo non masticavo molto bene l'inglese ! E mi piacque pur capendo poco i dialoghi ... e l'atmosfera del cinema londinese mi ha lasciato un ricordo molto bello del primo film ! ... un classico !
Pure il secondo non e' male , ma il primo e' veramente un must per i ragazzi degli anno 80 come tanti di noi nel forum

... io il 1° l'ho visto una sera col temporale e dopo mezzanotte... ovviamente avevo 7/8 anni e quella notte non ho chiuso occhio xchè continuavo a guardare spaventato l'armadio e sentivo rumori in qls angolo della stanza

... il 2° invece è molto + "rilassante"

Mitico, lo prenderò assolutamente.
Il secondo è completamente diverso, un giochino "metafilmico" un po' pretenzioso ma godibile. Possente Christopher Lee nel sequel, attore amatissimo da Dante che ha sfruttato molto bene.

... il 2° è quello che vogliono invadere NewYork tramite un edificio della Network (ove c'è il gremlins elettrico, quello ragno, quello trans e quello intellettuale) e c'è la "ballatta NewYork NewYork" finale ('na boiata della madonna, ma da morire dal ridere lo stesso

).

E invece vi sbagliate,il secondo Gremlins e' una vera gioia per i cinefili ricchissimo di citazioni divertentissime e con rimandi ad innumerevoli b movie anni 50 che lo rendono IMHO imperdibile. Lo aspetto tanto quanto il primo che a suo modo e' diventato ormai un piccolo classico.

Peccato che a parte aver diretto qualche episodio di Masters of Horror,Joe Dante sia praticamente sparito dalla circolazione...

Li ho entrambe in DVD e attendo con ansia la loro sostituzione

Poi la Phoebe Cates in versione adolescenziale sul primo Film ... adorabile
