Non so risponderti, perché non ho più la macchina.
Per esserne certo, però, basta trovare un firmware precedente al tuo e provare a farlo...
Oltre a tutto non ne avresti la certezza matematica, perché le release candidate sono firmware ufficiosi e il loro comportamento in tal senso potrebbe differire da quanto avviene con i rilasci ufficiali...
Da un altro punto di vista, proprio in quanto release candidate, dovrebbero consentire il downgrading.
Insomma, l'unico aiuto CERTO può arrivarti da chi ne ha installata una e ha provato a fare l'operazione...
Uso Plex. Da una certa versione in poi bisogna andare nelle impostazioni di Plex Server e mettere l'IP del VTEN fra le esclusioni, altrimenti il client del VTEN non funzona più.Citazione:

Finalmente uscito per Natale un firmware ufficiale. Si tratta di un aggiornamento monstre. Un log interminabile! Grande Cloud Media! :eek:
Racchiude il contenuto di tutte le RC da 1 a 7. Chi ha installato la RC7 del msg n. 702 non deve aggiornare.
Gli altri si troveranno la richiesta automatica (se presente la spunta sulla funzione) di aggiornamento online.

Ciao a tutti. c'è qualcuno di voi che usa vten con il telecomando universale logitech harmony ultimate? io non riesco a aggiungere la pagina con i numeri e le lettere sul telecomando quando devo controllare il vten. voi ci siete riusciti?

Un saluto a tutti. Sono stato un felice possessore dell'Hdx, il vecchio Pop 100, che funziona ancora... Ho un Q5 Himedia con cui mi trovo bene, ma siccome da mesi valuto l'acquisto di un secondo player per spostare il Q5 in tavernetta, sto valutando il ritorno a... casa, pur perdendo qualcosa nell'aspetto “spettacolare” (vedi jukeboxe di film e di musica). La parte audio del Q5 è quella che più mi è insufficiente per leggere dal mio Nas Qnap su cui ho rippato in buona qualità tutti i cd (e alla fine tutte le smanettature possibili con Android non le uso). Premetto che per il momento non mi interessa il 4k, ma solo l'Hd e un buon audio: stereo per la musica e dolby, Dts e successivi per i film (attraverso ampli Denon). Privilegio su tutto la qualità video e poi quella audio. In molti mi direte di passare all'A-500, se non proprio al Pro, ma vorrei contenere il costo. E, Pro a parte, non mi pare che - per l'uso che ne faccio io - valga la differenza di spesa (o no?...). Chiedo ai voi possessori del Vten se me lo consigliate a occhi chiusi. E ai più esperti domando se avrei problemi a mantere Vten e Q5 (in stanze diverse) a leggere sulle stesse cartelle del Nas (l'archiviazione dei film, ad esempio, deve essere differente oppure posso trovare un compromesso che vada bene per entrambe i sistemi: vorrei avere una sorta di jukeboxe anche sul Vten). Mi consigliate altro? O di aspettare altro, visto che il Vten ha già una “certa” età? Un'ultima cosa: si può fare anche un jukeboxe della musica archiviata, divisa per cantanti/gruppi/autori con tanto di copertine? Scusate se chiedo troppo e se non sono stato molto chiaro. Grazie per gli eventuali aiuti!
Senza interessi per il 4K ti consiglierei senza dubbio un 103 usato. Nel mercatino ne stanno vendendo a prezzi davvero validi e rivali degni su prezzi a 3 cifre non ne ho ancora visti.Citazione:

C'è però Plex installabile e se il tuo NAS lo supporta è un'ottima alternativa. Le locandine sono belle, a patto che il nome file corrisponda al database del sito "Themoviedatabase"

Per condividere il jukebox tra due player o più, hai due alternative:
- kodi abilitando SQL sul NAS qnap http://kodi.wiki/view/MySQL
- Attivare il servizio di Plex sul Qnap
Kodi e Share libraries w/MySQL o suo su svariati dispositivi ed condissimo, ci perdi tempo la prima volta per configurare tutto(con molta pazzianza), mai poi basta copiare un file di configurazione.
Hai il grosso vantaggio che non sei vincolato al dispositivo puoi anche prendere una rasbarry pi/odroidc 2 un box amlogic s905 con libreelec ec... risparmiando non poco.
Plex è molto più semplice da configurare e gestire.
dovrebbe funzionare su entrambi puoi usare Plex,ma non sò con quali risultati.Sul Q5 puoi abilitare il player di sistema per mantenere il videoengine.
PS tieni presente una cosa: se ti sei abituato alla fluidità del interfaccia di android tornare ad una basata su linux ti sembrerà una lumaca.

In quanto alla condivisione, non ho capito una cosa: se ora il Q5 ha il suo jukeboxe leggendo dalla cartella sul nas dove tengo i film (e riproduco col wrapper), che problemi avrei se dalla stessa cartella facessi leggere il Vten? Dovrei leggerli senza creare un jukeboxe, come per altro già facevo col Pop 100?
Quanto all'ottimo consiglio di yuzathecloud: ti ringrazio, sarebbe una splendida soluzione, però, malgrado l'usato disponibile, vado fuori budget...
