Introducing the World’s First PCI Video Processing Card Featuring DCDi™
ORCHARD PARK, NY - Immersive, Inc. announced the arrival of the world’s first PCI video processor card featuring Genesis-Microchip’s patented DCDiTM processing. The HOLO3DGRAPHTM is a full length PCI board that is designed to accept Component, S-Video, Serial Digital Interface (SDI), and Composite video inputs. Combined with any off-the-shelf graphics card such as the ATI Radeon and/or NVidia based GeForce card with a DVI output, the HOLO3DGRAPHTM instantly transforms any PC into a formidable all-digital video processor for use in home entertainment systems of all sizes.
The HOLO3DGRAPHTM has been designed to accept standard definition sources from any cable box, DVD player, satellite receiver, and other set-top-boxes, process them, and then use the graphics card installed in a PC to scale the image to various HDTV or computer resolutions. The card should appeal to the home theater PC (HTPC) novice and tweaker alike given the vast array of expansion capabilities and processing capabilities – all packaged in an easy-to-install and use system.
Other features include a user-interface designed to be controlled by keyboard or the included StreamZapTM remote control. The user interface uses a cascading menu system that offers complete control over picture controls, resolutions, aspect ratio, and video processing parameters that can be memorized on a per input basis. In addition, the HOLO3DGRAPHTM has built in support for the popular Girder PC IR control program for more advanced users who desire more control than the included StreamZapTM remote offers.
Finally, since the card features dual video paths, the HOLO3DGRAPHTM is also fully compatible with the open-source deinterlacing efforts of www.dscaler.com, thereby allowing the end-user the ultimate choice in deciding which deinterlacing algorithms they want to use. Moreover, once Microsoft ships DirectX 9.0 later this year, additional deinterlacing choices will available by leveraging those that are built into many of the newer graphics cards using Microsoft’s DxVA technology.
The HOLO3DGRAPHTM is currently being beta tested and will be available in late August from a number of dealers. Please visit www.immersiveinc.com for further information regarding the card, where to find dealers, and how to contact Immersive.
