Vorrei richiamare l'attenzione sul titolo di questa discussione che recita "Aggiornamento petizione...." pertanto dovrebbe essere riservata a questo argomento, non alle solite chiacchiere sulle motivazioni delle Majors e sui propri desideri o all'elenco di quali film soddisfano o meno le richieste.
A suo tempo avevo già chiuso la precedente discussione perchè si era ridotta, come al solito, ad una serie di OT, evitate pertanto che accada la stessa cosa con questa.

a seguito telefonata intercorsa ai primi di aprile , come d’accordo, ti invio in allegato la lettera in italiano e la versione tradotta in inglese per la Sede USA della Warner Bros con oggetto la richiesta degli appassionati italiani di “Home Theater” di poter usufruire sui dischi Blu Ray - almeno sui titoli più importati e spettacolari - di codifica audio “HD” anche per la lingua italiana come per i mercati francese e tedesco.
Ti ringrazio sentitamente (anche a nome di tutti gli appassionati) per la tua disponibilità e cortesia e, nel salutarti cordialmente, rimango, rimaniamo in attesa di tue notizie.

With this letter Italian “Home Theater“ fans wish to bring to your kind attention the petition in support of a better quality of Italian audio in the Blu Ray Disc editions. The petition has been signed by over seven hundred Blu Ray fans. The request has already been send to Italian WARNER BROS. headquarter.
We are great lovers of Cinema and strong supporters of Blu Ray Disc format for the huge and valuable technical potentiality that it is able to offer. Blu Ray Disc is the only format able to reproduce, between domestics walls, the highest audio-video quality of the best Cinema experience. The Audio and Video quality is extremely important for us .
After 9 years, since the introduction of such support, we’ve never had the pleasure to enjoy the full potentiality of the Blu Ray Disc. Warner BRD offer a spectacular high-definition video quality but the Italian track remains, always, encoded in simple “DVD” audio standard.
Italian audio tracks in the Warner Bros Blu Ray Disc editions are still encoded in Dolby Digital at full rate compression (640 Kb/sec) or even lower DVD audio standard (448 Kb/sec) while, recently, French and German ones have benefited of DTS-HD Master Audio.We understand that probably all depends on the costs of authoring and duplication largely balanced of the localizations of each disc.
Many times we have noted, in phase of authoring, that all the huge potentiality (in term of bandwidth and capacity available) of BRD support are not completely optimized and these resources could be used for Audio “HD” instead of simple DOLBY DIGITAL .
The introduction of the newest audio format DOLBY Atmos and the announcement by DTS of the availability of DTS:X, adds substance and outlook to our demand for both Blu Ray Disc and the latest announcement “BD 4K”.
These latest new Audio formats as well as “HD” of DTS and DOLBY (DTS-HD Master Audio, DTS-HD High Resolution and DOLBY True HD) – have been developed for Blu Ray Disc and for that reason can be reproduced and appreciated exclusively with this support.
For these reasons we would be glad if, for the next editions, at least for the most important and spectacular movies, where the audio quality helps to enhance at best the cinematographic experiences, to use audio “HD” codecs also for the Italian language, so that every Italian Home Theater fans can benefit them, in keeping with the significant and uniques technicals features that the format can offer at the same line of expectations of quality Audio / Video which every fan wants to find when decide to buy a Blu Ray disc.
It would be very fantastic if, next time when we turn on our “Home Theater” systems, we could be able to enjoy one of your BRD movies with a fabulous Italian HD audio in line with High Definition video.

Che poi sarebbe già tanto se utilizzassero una codifica come il DD+ (magari con l'aggiunta dell'Atmos quando disponibile, tanto non gli costa nulla).

Vorrei fare notare che la questione audio non è di facile risoluzione ...... Ma vi posso assicurare che la questione viene continuamente discussa sia con le sedi italiane che con quelle americane....io e grunf stiamo lavorando spesso anche sotto traccia anche a causa dei "rematori contro"...
Siccome non è di immediata risoluzione credo che avremo qualche altro film in DD..speriamo che siano gli ultimi
Lo spero vivamente. Se la warner lo fa prometto solennemente di comprare appena in uscita il blu ray.
Ieri ho preso il cofanetto dello Hobbit 3D 5 bluray a 14 euro in offerta. Oramai con warner faccio fisso così solo a prezzi stracciati.
Naturalmente spero che la lotta che stiamo facendo possa portare I suoi frutti e che le sedi e Majors possano prendere seriamente in considerazione le nostre richieste.
Mi complimento per le persone attive che stanno contribuendo e che inviano lettere di richiesta
Purtroppo,con pochi fondi a disposizione,non si possono fare miracoli sulle decodifiche italiane.
Speriamo veramente...
