"This player does support DTS and Dolby Digital Decoding up to 7.1 channels but that is where the problem starts. There is a buffer issue so if you are connecting this via HDMI or Optical out to a A/V receiver, there is a distict lag with the audio to video- think 70s Kung Fu movie. Shame on me for trying to listen to Blu-rays in surround sound. There is only left and right audio outputs on the back of the player so if you want 5.1 or 7.1 discrete outputs, you need to upgrade to a higher model.
The C5500/C5900 does support streaming audio and video such as Youtube, Pandora and NetFlix but but this unit does not come with a 1GB buffer that is nearly essential for these sort of applications. It cannot even handle the task of playing a disc internally so hooking it up to my unreliable but 10Mbps ISP's broadband connection was out of the question.
Cosa ne pensate ? Cosa è vero e cosa è falso ?
