Sono in possesso di un mac mini (2011) con i5 2,3Ghz e 8gb di ram collegato, tramite hdmi, ad un ricevitore ONKYO TX-NR609.
Come televisore possiedo un Panasonic TX-P42G30 che supporta nativamente i 24hz ed infatti, una volta settata la giusta frequenza di aggiornamento in Lion, visionando file mkv a 1080p provenienti da blu-ray anche le scene con carrellate,ecc vengono visualizzate in maniera fluida e senza scatti.
Tutto perfetto se non fosse per un brevissimo scatto che si presenta ad intervalli (regolari o meno non lo so, perchè se la scena è statica la cosa non si nota).

A quanto pare la gpu dei sandy bridge non riesce a riprodurre in maniera corretta i 23,976fps.
Mi hanno suggerito direttamente sul forum di xbmc di abilitare l'opzione:
sync playback to display
e come metodo di scegliere video clock (resample audio).
Su wiki ho poi trovato questo:
A/V sync method [Audio Clock, Video Clock(resample audio) or Video Clock(Drop/Dupe Audio)]
Audio has to stay in sync, this can either be done by resampling, skipping/duplicating packets, or adjusting the clock if it gets out of sync too far. Resampling has the advantage that the speed of the video can be changed considerably, so 24 fps can be sped up to 25 fps to play at PAL speed. The disadvantage of resampling is that it doesn't work with passthrough, and there is a slight loss of audio quality. Skipping/duplicating audiopackets has no loss of audio quality, but the speed of the video can only be changed a little to avoid doing a skip/duplication too often, most of the time it's inaudible, but it can produce a very audible click. Adjusting the clock has the best audioquality, but some extra video jitter can occur, also the speed of the video can't change much, as the audio will sync the clock more often the more the speed of the video is changed.
Così tutto fila liscio, peccato che al mio ampli arrivino solo i canali FL e FR.
Attivando invece le opzioni
Dolby Digital (AC3) capable receiver e
DTS Capable Receiver tutto funziona anche se devo settare
Audio output su
Optical/Coax altrimenti il problema rimane.
Facendo così, il metodo di sincronismo non è più quello di Video
Clock(resample audio) ma per forze di cose passa automaticamente su
Video Clock(Drop/Dupe Audio).
E questo genere dei click nelle scene (per la verità, rarissime, ma alle volte presenti) in cui c'è silenzio assoluto.
C'è una soluzione al mio problema o mi devo accontentare di questo "compromesso"?
