• 4 July: Final board and all the component ready
• 5~9 July: Board SMT
• 10~14 July: PCBA Testing
• 16~19 July: 50 full unit trial run
Temperature and reliability test for 72 hours
Drop and vibration test
ESD test and etc.
• 20 July: Conclusion on trial run report
• 21~23 July: Mass production
• 24~27 July: Quality test
• 28~29 July: Packing
• 30 July: Shipment
The shipment is near and we are excited to get the Popcorn Hour A-500 PRO in your hands!

Insomma, arriveranno ad agosto (ad un anno data dal pagamento!), quando molti di noi non potranno riceverli in quanto magari al lago o al mare o in montagna... Il peggior periodo dell'anno per immaginare la consegna di un bene! :rolleyes:
Poco male: vorrà dire che torneranno al mittente, in Asia, e poi li rispediranno! ;)

Presenta bene, come tutti i PCH ...mo ci smanetto un po'
Prima nota... non c'è traccia della sd cart promessa ai backers per il ritardo... non l'avrei usata probabilmente, però visto che in teoria ci doveva essere... boh...

Per ora ho testato solo la reattività e la lettura di vari formati video
Com'era prevedibile, nessun problema in lettura da NAS anche di file copia di bluray 1:1 con audio HD (sia ISO sia mkv)
Ho provato la parte Android e per ora ho due problemi... la prima che non riesco a
far funzionare la tastiera a video col telecomando (e qui può essere colpa mia, perchè
è la prima volta che ho un media player Android e magari sbaglio qualcosa), la seconda
è che ho dovuto disattivare il controllo HDMI sul mio Marantz SR7010, se no il PCH 500 Pro
me lo continuava ad accendere (non era possibile usarlo col Marantz spento, in passthrough)
E ad essere pignoli, il led rosso di spegnimento si vede assai poco...
Boh... proseguo gli esperimenti ... Volevo provare Kodi (o un suo fork) :mc: :sofico:

Diciamo che con l'interfaccia Android, non mi trovo per nulla... (e sono anni che mastico di Android...
tanto per capirci, il mio telefono è rootato, moddato e con recovery TWRP) eppure non mi trovo...
Parrebbero mancare settings video e audio ed anche un apk installer :eek:
Dallo store, l'installazione di Kodi ad esempio non parte e comunque ho dovuto usare
un mouse usb per interagire con la tastiera... il browser si pianta spesso e volentieri
Ultima notazione, col NMJ, se l'ordinamento per titoli può andare bene per i film,
per la musica è un disastro... Io che sono un patito di musica ed ho più di 10.000 cd
(non ho idea quanti siano... 12.000? 14.000?) ed ho passato un annetto e mezzo a
ripparmeli con EAC in flac e metterli su un NAS, dovrei impazzire a cercarmi il titolo del cd...
Immaginatevi, dover cercare per titolo in mezzo a oltre 10.000 voci... e la visualizzazione per
"Nome" avviene per singola lettera.. ovvero solo le A, poi solo le B... insomma sfogliare non mi
viene facile.. (lo so potrei provare per genere, ma spesso i database online hanno dei generi
tutti loro, o mischiano in maniera invereconda)
cercherò una soluzione o non creerò il database e mi limiterò a sfogliare le cartelle
sul NAS dove le ho divise in Genere -> Nome -> Album -> Versione/Stampa del disco...
PS oh se avete input e consigli sono ben accetti :D :mano:

A batch of units started shipping on 29 July (Friday) and some of you might have received your tracking numbers. If you have received an email with tracking number, you can now trace where your Popcorn Hour A-500 PRO is!
If you do not receive your tracking code, most likely your Popcorn Hour A-500 PRO will be shipped with the next batch this week.

Comunque è curiosa la tua esperienza negativa lato Android. Dovrebbe funzionare come il Chameleon, che ho avuto e che non aveva questioni di sorta...

Come vedi nelle impostazioni, non c'è un "Impostazioni Avanzate" oppure "Schermo" o "Audio"
Non trovo il file browser ad esempio e dai media player di default visualizzo le directory di Android
ma non l'hdd interno e quello esterno... mentre da usb mi ha letto serenamente un avi di prova
Cosa sbaglio? :confused: :D
Ps per la precisione, si tratta di Android 6 (6.0.1 mi pare) ed è una build della Syabas
