Onkyo 875 EU [Nuovo Firmware]
Siccome la situazione è abbastanza complicata al momento, ho deciso di aprire questo nuovo thread che riguarda esclusivamente il nuovo firmware dell'Onkyo 875.
Al momento la situazione è la seguente:
- Il responsabile di Onkyo Italia, via telefonica, non conferma nè smentisce nulla; l'unica cosa che dichiara è che non può fare ne dire niente finchè non arrivano direttive ufficiali da Onkyo.
- Su AVSforum un membro è riuscito a contattare Onkyo NL e le notizie non sono per niente buone; vi riporto la parte del suo post che ci interessa qui sotto:

The updates are very new, and they are still in the process of getting all the soft,- and hardware to preform all the needed updates. The main distributor for the EU is located in Germany, and from there they send out the needed equipment to all localized distributors/service centres (per country presumably, because of different translations).
In NL, where i live, they expect to have all needed equipment and software by next week or so. It might be the same for the other centers/countries in Europe.
All in all, the updates are extensive and will affect 4 major parts;
The video-system (black levels for instance)
The HDMI-section (handshake issues for instance)
The DSP-section (delays for instance)
The main control CPU (new functionality, for instance the Reon Menu on the 875).
The service centre needs to some EEPROM flashing, wich cannot be done by RS232 and/or optical connection. So you really need to bring in your unit ....
This on my EU-unit ... but seen the fact that the 875's in other parts of the world arent really sigificantly different, i expect that everybody needs to bring in their unit (US/Asia/EU). And i also expect that it is not really different from the situation with the 905's around the world.

In poche parole dice che per quanto riguarda gli Onkyo 875 europei ci sarà bisogno di un upgrade sia hardware che software e che quindi non sarà possibile fare l'aggiornamento a casa ma bisognerà portare il proprio ampli dal rivenditore per farselo aggiornare.
Gli aggiornamenti del nuovo firmware riguardano:
Il sistema video (sistemati i valori del nero sballati)
La sezione hdmi (sistemato il problema di handshake)
La sezione DSP (sistemati i problemi di delay)
La CPU principale (nuove funzionalità e il menù per il Reon gestibile su 875 come avviene sul 905)
FAQ
Come posso identificare un modello di amplificatore già patchato al firmware 1.04 (SR875) / 1.05 (SR905)?
Onkyo Europe ha fatto sapere che i modelli con lettere identificativa maggiore o uguale a "P" ,che si trova vicino al numero seriale sulla scatola,sono già patchati con l'ultima release di firmware 1.05 o superiore come è scritto nel Onkyo Service Information 5/2007 datato 25 Ottobre 2007.
Come faccio a vedere che versione di firmware ha il mio amplificatore?
Basta tenere premuto il tasto Display sul pannello frontale dell'ampli per 5 secondi, succesivamente tenenendo premuto Display premete il tasto On/Standby sul ricevitore e la versione del firmware sarà mostrata sul display del pannello frontale per circa 2 secondi.
